I'm with the majority on this, no border needed. I'd just bind it in a dark color that matches one in the quilt.

Jep, one more vote for no border at all!

Love the colous BTW, it's a stunning quilt! Good thing you're finshing it!

Imho, don't add a border.

I wouldn't add a border. It doesn't need one at all. It's beauty is all there. I love it.

IMHO, I like TPs without borders. Yours is so pretty the way it moves. I think a border would interfere.

If you really want a border, I like your concept of mimicking the colors around the quilt.

It is a beauty and I can hear the waves lapping on shore.

I think it would be cool to have the border match the area next to it

I'm working on one of these too - have lots more piecing to go, but have also been thinking of the finishing - I'll be bordering mine in an unconventional way - not cutting "half" triangles for the sides, but a rectangle with the proper angle added to the final triangle at each end of each row, then square up the outside edge of rectangle so my pyrmids will all be full size, and "float" within the border. I haven't see this done anywhere yet - maybe it is, but that's what's on my mind. I can't wait to see how you finish yours!
