I quilt in the attic. Usually a fan is sufficient but when it's 90 plus I don't even try. If it's something that has to get done I use my little backup downstairs. I see no point in sweating to death for a hobby

Those in hot climates why choose not to have AC? Window units are very inexpensive now and use very little power. I remember window units were big, heavy, monsters. Just like the old box tvs. Not any more.

And with the Mitsubichi Mini Splits you can air condition 3 or 4 rooms with one unit and no duct work. We have one for one room that is hard to cool. It works great!

I'm in Maine, no AC, sewing room on third floor... quilt away in the heat... maybe in the nude... who's looking?... brings new meaning to QuiltingBear
