Really pretty quilt. I wouldn't add the cornerstones. Try them out in you next quilt.
It looks fine as it is - put the corner stones in the next one.
Are the cornerstones the same color as the main blocks -- do they add to the design? If they do, and it would look entirely different, then I would take it apart and add them. I would not, however, add them OVER the material that is already there. It would be very noticeable and IMHO ruin the effect you already have. You don't quilt like a beginner, really. It's going to be beautiful either way you do it.
Leave it alone, it looks wonderful!
Lovely as it is. I would bind it and call it a "wrap"!! LOL
It is fine as it is! There is no right/wrong in quilting! You make it how you want!
I would leave it alone.
I'd leave it alone. I like it the way it is!
I am also a beginner...working on my stash! I too don't know what cornerstones are (like nanacandi & wonderwoman)..but whatever they are, I would forget it. I only hope my 1st quilt turns out as beautiful as yours!
It really looks good as is. To put cornerstones in now would be way more work than I'd want to tackle.
that would be a lot of work to take it apart, save doing cornerstones on another project , the only people that know it was to have the cornerstones would be those of us that read this ,,,, and im not telling !!!!
I'm with those who think cornerstones wouldn't add anything.
It's very nice as is. |
You'd have to take it apart. It looks very pretty and completed. If you do want to add something maybe buttons where the corner stones would ahve been? I do not think it needs it though.

I am a beginner as well, and that sounds just like something I would do. The quilt is beautiful though, so don't sweat it. You can do cornerstones next time.
It's absolutely gorgeous as it is! There's no rule about how to set a quilt, and my theory is "if it ain't broke, don't try to fix it" :)

I think you did great. I'm proud of you.
when you quilt it, just sew 4 straight lines to make a square where the cornerstones would be. Voila - instant cornerstone without appliqueing.
Or leave it as it is. It looks great! |
That is a great quilt and needs no cornerstones. You did a great job matching the sashing.
Renee,
I think it looks great as it is. You did a great job. I feel it would look better with conerstones, but You don't need to rip it all apart but add them to a similar quilt if you make another. |
Beatuiful job. Leave it as it. The only thing I see is when I was trying to figure out your pattern one square has the purple squares different than the others. Maybe that was intended?
I think it is beautiful . I am a beginner and I find quilting is adictive. |

Thkanks that just shows you that I am a beginner and don't know some things.
I think this looks great, cornerstones don't appear to be needed with the way you put the sashing together 8-)
leave as is nice work
I agree, leave it as it is. It's great the way it is.
I think it looks very classy as it is. Congratulations on a job well done!!! The colours are great and the blocks look very well constructed. What a great way to start off your quilting!!!
(As an aside, did you intend to turn one of the four patches around? If each of the patches in each row are meant to be facing in the same direction, you may want to unpick this one and turn it around. Otherwise you could leave it and if anyone mentions it, just tell them it was intentional (LOL)!) |

It's your quilt and you did it your way! That's how some of the newer designs came about I'm sure. |
looks great to me. I wouldn't change a thing. :)
Love it just like it is!
Just love it the way it is. If you took is apart to add cornerstones, you run the chance of stretching the fabric
Beautiful design & quilt top |
It is too late. There is absolutely no way that I would take all of this work apart just to add cornerstones. Cornerstones does give some exitement to the eye but with the work you have already put into this quilt, I don't see the need to undo what already looks good.
If you really want them and have to have them in this quilt, you can add cornerstones on the first border and then add your last border. Or you can start a new quilt and add them. |
I would leave it like it is and use the cornerstones on another. Maybe when you quilt you could do something in each little square where the cornerstone should have gone.

Looks great to me. I would leave it the way it is; as they say "design decisions" Thanks for sharing.
I would just add another border from the dark blue fabric, thay way you can add corner stones to this border.
Leave it! It looks great!
boy! girl! some beginner. it is really pretty are you sure you want to add corner stones? it is relly lovely as it is!
I think it looks great as it is but if you wanted something extra you could sew either square or round buttons as cornerstones.
Leave it, looks good as is
