Good knowledge of geometry? We all get by Precise nature - in some cases, but we also have to have _ 1)the ability to accept things the way they are and will be 2) ability to know where to go to get help and advise for things we don't know or understand 3) a creative nature and know that in being creative we are not always precise ---- thus it is becomes art and .... 4) a quilter's brain Phyllis |
Was the lecture really a comedy routine?

I think you need some imagination and a sense of humour. It should be enjoyable otherwise what's the point?
I think to be a good quilter, you have to love what you do,
ditto
I'd say its more patience, a willingness to try new things, the ability to laugh at yourself and not take things too seriously when a fabric or thread decides to exercise its own will versus submit to yours :-)

Not!
