I have done this for a few years now. Even when I am hand binding to the back of my quilt. It works well for me. One bounce sheet will last until I get a whole Q sz hand quilted.

I had never heard of this before. I use bee's wax.

I was taught beeswax, but it was from more mature seasoned quilters. (Like that description)

It is a thread conditioner and protectant. I think I ordered it from fabricdepot.com.
