Finish this sentence: I'm ashamed to admit that sometimes I...

QuiltSage 04-05-2011 01:33 PM

Ok, I'll go first just to show I'm not afraid.

I'm ashamed to admit it but sometimes I...

Buy fabric at Walmart. That is just wrong on so many levels.

QuiltnNan 04-05-2011 01:36 PM

I'm ashamed to admit that sometimes I... get out the liquid stitch to glue my booboos

asmmauer 04-05-2011 01:36 PM

am to busy quilting to fix supper.

jljack 04-05-2011 01:37 PM

....start a quilt for a raffle or a gift, and after the top is done I don't give it...I keep it and make another!

My DH thinks that's BAD!!! I think I'm allowed to change my mind!!

:-) :-)

. . . start another project when I already have too many going. I'm fighting with myself right now to keep from starting one or two more. Only have nine right now on the top of the "got to get these finished" list. Plus a few more I've put aside indefinitely.

mimom 04-05-2011 01:47 PM

tell the LQS clerk to throw the receipt out as she's handing it to me and tell her its just evidence

janRN 04-05-2011 01:50 PM

I didn't change my thread color and sewed a black fabric with light thread; it showed. I got out a black permanent marker and colored the thread.

gunny148 04-05-2011 01:53 PM

forget to keep an eye on the bobbin thread and run out half way through a line of stitching

lyndaloo 04-05-2011 01:53 PM

I'm a widow and I live alone, and I er..ahem SOMETIMES quilt all day in my jammies.....

I'm ashamed to admit that -- this statment is my problem too.

GASP!!

Rumbols 04-05-2011 01:58 PM

I'm ashamed to admit that - I burned dinner while sewing on a quilt.

I am too, and would too, except I have a fur baby who needs walking!

maryb119 04-05-2011 02:23 PM

I start another project before I get the one I'm working on finished. The corner is full of UFO's.

PABerard 04-05-2011 02:27 PM

Have not dusted the house in 5 weeks because it will cut into my quilting time. I asked everyone not to touch the "faux finish" on the tables and floors

quilterjody 04-05-2011 02:30 PM

I call myself a quilter but sometimes won't quilt for weeks. :(

I like the way you think.

Same here

emerald46 04-05-2011 02:37 PM

that I sometimes put quilting ahead of other things I need to do around the house.

luvstitches 04-05-2011 02:42 PM

...burned hard boiled eggs in the pan because I was too busy quilting!!! No water, just crackling noise.

lyndaloo 04-05-2011 02:45 PM

Part of my yard is fenced for my 2 fur babies so no problem there. If I'm expecting fabric or something in my mail box, I put on my jeans and go down the hill...otherwise it can wait until I find a stopping point....or sneak down in my jammie bottoms and tee shirt since I'm very rural....

Um, yes!

Lori S 04-05-2011 02:50 PM

I tucked my jammies into my jeans , and went to an early bird fabric sale. Good thing it was cold and a coat was part of the wardrobe. Got home took off the coat and jammies and went back to bed.

You too?

Jim's Gem 04-05-2011 02:53 PM

I am ashamed to admit that - I have more fabric than I can probably use in my lifetime and I keep buying more!

mhollifiel 04-05-2011 02:54 PM

Been piecing a yellow brick road all day, DH is eating a chicken salad I "cooked" for him, and I am still in my long flannel nightie. . .the evening news is on. . . and it's not the first time. NOR THE LAST! I do have and use clothes!

TonnieLoree 04-05-2011 02:55 PM

.........lets the answering machine take the call from a friend who always want to yack, yack, yack for hours.

:D
You and I share a fine quality.
If I just HAVE to get out when the weather is cold, I always wear my jammie bottoms under my sweats. Back at home, I shed the sweats and get back to sewing....

oooooooooo I've done that too. In fact Purple and Green sharpies work also!

KarenR 04-05-2011 03:03 PM

I love to buy fabric! without knowing what I'm going to make.

missgigglewings 04-05-2011 03:03 PM

OK..but it only happened one time!...I swear!!!

I forgot to pick up my grandangel from school because I was quilting!

Poor little thing had to walk both blocks home!!

KarenR 04-05-2011 03:07 PM

I'm ashamed to admit that - I joined a BOM and continue to pick up the blocks even though I have not finished number 1 yet. You are suppose to finish them and then get the next one.

Why is this wrong on so many levels?

Terryl 04-05-2011 03:20 PM

I am ashamed to admit that I will sometimmes, (okay, almost always) ignore the phone when I'm quilting, even if it's one of my daughters calling, I let them leave a message. Sew...... no one is telling our secrets, right?
