I don't trust fabrics not to bleed- so I wash and dry them before cutting.
I don't trust batiks to be thoroughly washed- so I wash them with Retayne and dry them before cutting. I don't trust the marks on my cutting mat to be accurate- so I use a ruler. I don't trust myself not to make mistakes, esp at the end of the day- so I go slowly and enjoy the process of sewing. |
I have never come across a problem I couldn't figure out a solution for.

I have full faith and trust in my own abilities to adapt to any situation at all when it comes to the sport of quilting. That's all that matters as far as I'm concerned.

I agree with you Onebyone---ha ha ha ---that's just about exactly what I do. It has to be perfect or as close as possible.

I never thought about trusting stuff..I never follow the recipe, I always add or take away. I never follow the pattern just get the gist of it and make it my own.
When I cut something wrong ( which is often) there is always a plan B and yes "don't sweat the small stuff". Some mistakes come out beautiful. |
I never trust that I'm going to have enough of any fabric, so I always buy extra! ;)

AMEN to this.

I have faith in Murphys Law.."what ever can go wrong, will go wrong". So I just wait for it to happen and if it doesn't, do the happy dance.:)
