Yep, I record Eleanor Burns, Fons & Porter, and Sewing with Nancy... you might think Sewing with Nancy is just "sewing" but she has a lot of quilting things on her show. I like it!

I have DirecTV, so don't know what DISH has. I get Eleanor Burns on RFD (345) Wednesday nights, 10:30 here. Fons & Porter is on BYU channel (374) every day at 4:30 Arizona time.

I solved the clicker problem by ordering my own! It was a bit expensive, but oh, my worth every cent. I even set up my own list of favorites. Where there's a strong will, a wife can usually find her way around it!

I have dish network, you can go to the menu and one of the items is a search where you can search for anything that has sew or quilt in the name

I have control over the remote at our house. Pat apparently is missing the remote gene and the BBQ gene. (He sometimes laments his male failings, lol) But I have not seen any quilting shows recently.

I knew about RFD and PBS. But I didn't know about DIY and BYU. I'm going to go search the sattelite now!
Oh BTW, I'd get my own receiver and tv too.... oh that's right! I already did! LOL |

In Iowa we have RFDTV-not sure but (wed) I think is Quilt in a Day, and BUTV (i think) shows Fons and Porter, check the internet for local dish guide and you should be able to find this out.

We just got Direct Tv and I was wondering how to find quilting....you quilters are so smart! Thank you! I did the search and it worked; found fons and porter for tonight!!

I live just west of Chicago & the quilting shows on Dish are on PBS, WYCC in Chicago channel 20 & WYIN in Indiana channel 56. The best days are Tues., Wed. & Thurs. I haven't tried RFD yet.

Your PBS stations usually carry some sewing and quilting shows. Here they are on Sat. morning from 7 to 10 a.m.

I am in the St. Louis, MO area and the only quilt programs I can find here on Direct TV is the Elanor Burns one on RFD on Wed. at 1:30. The PBS channels here are all childrens programs

RFD has Quilt in a Day and BYU has Fons and Porter. Online you can watch Quilt in a Day and Nancy Zieman.

what is BYU channel stand for ? I remember when we had Direct TV we'd get RFD and watched Fons and Porter on it..our local PBS sometimes carried Eleanor Burns..of which I prefer vs Sewing with Nancy,Now we only get Fons and Porter of which I like..

Brigham Young Univ...I am pretty sure....It is a religious type channel, they usually have pretty interesting things on the channel....

This made me laugh too. Then I asked my husband to move beside me and read it too....we laughed together :D We have a lot of quilting shows on PBS on Saturday mornings. My husband also used to work for Dish and suggested making your own list. You could even ask your dh to make it for you if that would make him feel better :D

Dish Network has Fons and Porter on the BYUTV network,channel 9403,at 10:00a.m. and at 5:30p.m.
