I would also guess it is a cartoon character. It's kind of cute. It would make fun pajamas!
Its different, but I like it too. Maybe make a dresser mat for a kids room?? Or maybe potholders.

Love it! I would fussy cut domes and use colorful dresden pattern. Keep us posted on what you decide.

Okay very funny. All your ideas came to me also as I gazed at this. I too would stack and whack it. Surprises are always fun with our " what the heck was I thinking." I am assuming you did NOT buy this. Good luck

You have to make blocks because you don't want it to be so consistent that the middle one is always upside down, etc.
GIVE IT BACK!

Hmmmm....does look like a production piece. You can use it though. It would make a cute quilt for a child. You could cut 24cm squares. This would put a picture in the center of each square and not loose any fabric in the process. It would look good with a sashing....maybe red. I don't know how much you have. If you don't have enough for an entire top, you could alternate with a solid square or 4 patch. good luck. I'd love to see a picture of the finished product whatever you decide to do.

fussy cut tumblers?
What is the copyright that is on there? Contact them and ask.
It looks like their might be "match marks" at the top and bottom....if you sew them together, what would it make. Juggling bean bags, maybe? I like the shoulder pad answer... Let us know if you get an answer from the manufacturer. D in TX |
i just dont know what to say !! maybe because it is differant , not ugly but not cute ! just in between
Cut out the pieces and sew backing on them and use for a bean bag toss game.
I think it is cute. It would work for a child's quilt as applique.
Prarie points without the points!
As I read your discription, I don't know what I was expecting, but it wasn't that! As I scrolled down and saw the picture I really did LOL. Thanks for sharing. Good Luck with it.

It looks like it's a Japanese Manga character called Doraemon. Doraemon was sent back in time and can pull futuristic gadgets from his pocket. You can read more about it here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Doraemon . My guess is your fabric depicts multiple pockets either as a motif in its own right or for appliques.

I have no idea what they are supposed to be, but they would make cute beanbags for a kid's game. Just an idea. What does the white print say? Its too small to read.
wow, wonder what it was supposed to be for? I'd try to do drunkard's path blks out of them myself. if i had to!!
Kneepads for overalls?
It's amazing... one quilter's "ugly" is another quilter's "perfect!"
Hi Jordan, it makes me smile to see your cute fellow. Ugly, not at all
I also suggest use it for I spy..It is different
I think I would make a giant pillow or quilt for the local animal rescue/shelter. Fabric that you don't want or like can be made into something useful.
Use the Bonnie Hunter method and cut it in into little squares and sew the squares into blocks. No one will know what it really was to begin with!! LOL
The only thing I can think of is those fussy cut triangles sewn together into a hex. Isn't that a kalidescope (sp)?
So many ideas for such an 'interesting' fabric!!
Looks like it might have been designed as a shoulder patch to be sewn in when setting the sleeve in on a shirt or jacket.
Wondering if you really want an HONEST answer lol.

There is someone on the board making quilts for special kids and is asking for kid prints. I would send it to her, not being flip but kids would appreciate the colors and funny print

I can't say anything nice so,......
Pass it on...

I love it - I would fussy cut it out and use it as a border for a kids quilt.
