Yeah, that's pretty bad!! HOWEVER, someone on this board will write something brilliant and then you'll send us a picture and we'll all eat crow, LOL.

oatw13 02-13-2011 07:52 AM

I would also guess it is a cartoon character. It's kind of cute. It would make fun pajamas!

craftymatt2 02-13-2011 08:03 AM

Its different, but I like it too. Maybe make a dresser mat for a kids room?? Or maybe potholders.

beeaquilter 02-13-2011 08:24 AM

Love it! I would fussy cut domes and use colorful dresden pattern. Keep us posted on what you decide.

pegquilter8 02-13-2011 08:32 AM

Okay very funny. All your ideas came to me also as I gazed at this. I too would stack and whack it. Surprises are always fun with our " what the heck was I thinking." I am assuming you did NOT buy this. Good luck

You have to make blocks because you don't want it to be so consistent that the middle one is always upside down, etc.

shequilts 02-13-2011 08:45 AM

GIVE IT BACK!

OneMoreQuilt 02-13-2011 09:05 AM

Hmmmm....does look like a production piece. You can use it though. It would make a cute quilt for a child. You could cut 24cm squares. This would put a picture in the center of each square and not loose any fabric in the process. It would look good with a sashing....maybe red. I don't know how much you have. If you don't have enough for an entire top, you could alternate with a solid square or 4 patch. good luck. I'd love to see a picture of the finished product whatever you decide to do.

cherrio 02-13-2011 09:10 AM

fussy cut tumblers?

Lady Diana 02-13-2011 09:55 AM

What is the copyright that is on there? Contact them and ask.
It looks like their might be "match marks" at the top and bottom....if you sew them together, what would it make.
Juggling bean bags, maybe? I like the shoulder pad answer...
Let us know if you get an answer from the manufacturer.

i just dont know what to say !! maybe because it is differant , not ugly but not cute ! just in between

Diecy 02-13-2011 10:08 AM

Cut out the pieces and sew backing on them and use for a bean bag toss game.

MadQuilter 02-13-2011 10:21 AM

I think it is cute. It would work for a child's quilt as applique.

Candace 02-13-2011 10:24 AM

Prarie points without the points!

Kaye-Kaye 02-13-2011 10:32 AM

As I read your discription, I don't know what I was expecting, but it wasn't that! As I scrolled down and saw the picture I really did LOL. Thanks for sharing. Good Luck with it.

DoxieMom 02-13-2011 10:36 AM

It looks like it's a Japanese Manga character called Doraemon. Doraemon was sent back in time and can pull futuristic gadgets from his pocket. You can read more about it here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Doraemon . My guess is your fabric depicts multiple pockets either as a motif in its own right or for appliques.

MaryAnnMc 02-13-2011 11:03 AM

I have no idea what they are supposed to be, but they would make cute beanbags for a kid's game. Just an idea. What does the white print say? Its too small to read.

nativetexan 02-13-2011 11:22 AM

wow, wonder what it was supposed to be for? I'd try to do drunkard's path blks out of them myself. if i had to!!

Cathleen Colson 02-13-2011 11:59 AM

Kneepads for overalls?

pawebdoctor 02-13-2011 12:11 PM

It's amazing... one quilter's "ugly" is another quilter's "perfect!"

Ga-belle 02-13-2011 01:12 PM

Hi Jordan, it makes me smile to see your cute fellow. Ugly, not at all

p38flygirl 02-13-2011 03:50 PM

I also suggest use it for I spy..It is different

megs0863 02-13-2011 04:09 PM

I think I would make a giant pillow or quilt for the local animal rescue/shelter. Fabric that you don't want or like can be made into something useful.

Diane819 02-13-2011 04:31 PM

Use the Bonnie Hunter method and cut it in into little squares and sew the squares into blocks. No one will know what it really was to begin with!! LOL

quilterguy27 02-13-2011 04:39 PM

The only thing I can think of is those fussy cut triangles sewn together into a hex. Isn't that a kalidescope (sp)?

costumegirl 02-13-2011 04:41 PM

So many ideas for such an 'interesting' fabric!!

QuiltswithConvicts 02-13-2011 04:53 PM

Looks like it might have been designed as a shoulder patch to be sewn in when setting the sleeve in on a shirt or jacket.

Margie 02-13-2011 05:01 PM

Wondering if you really want an HONEST answer lol.

neece 02-13-2011 05:07 PM

There is someone on the board making quilts for special kids and is asking for kid prints. I would send it to her, not being flip but kids would appreciate the colors and funny print

jojosnana 02-13-2011 05:11 PM

jitkaau 02-13-2011 05:29 PM

OMGsh! It made my stomach tremble. I think it's the arrangement of the print. I like the colors, but that print.

LadyCougar 02-13-2011 06:02 PM

I love it - I would fussy cut it out and use it as a border for a kids quilt.

LivelyLady 02-13-2011 06:04 PM

I think it would be cute in a pattern using fussy cut :D

michelehuston 02-13-2011 06:06 PM
