Enter it in the ugly fabric challenge???

kriscraft99 02-12-2011 08:52 PM

oh I think it is precious :)

sewwhat85 02-12-2011 09:07 PM

looks like it was part of production pattern print

Pam H 02-12-2011 09:09 PM

Maybe sew 2 together or put a backing on it for a hat for children or some kind of puppet?

RST 02-12-2011 09:10 PM

It might make an interesting stack n whack / kaleidescope quilt. You'd lose the pattern and be left with the colors, which are really not bad.

cjomomma 02-12-2011 09:25 PM

I would use it in an I-spy. I think it is cute.

shawnemily 02-12-2011 09:29 PM

How about shoulder pads?

C.Cal Quilt Girl 02-12-2011 09:34 PM

Interesting piece, can make a 2 Sided reversable pot holder for everyone you know. Can't see the words, but looks like a Cheery lil fella.

May be able to square it up some for blocks, use leftover for boarder accient.
Good Luck with it!

jemma 02-12-2011 09:37 PM

it would be easy to quilt just follow the domes---well i found somthing positive to say about it

earthwalker 02-12-2011 10:36 PM

Looks like a Japanese cartoon character....an eye spy could work, looks like it is actually a pattern for something.

CoventryUK 02-12-2011 10:40 PM

Think I would give it back!!!!Haha!!

montanajan 02-12-2011 10:40 PM

How about a stack'n'whack?

jajudd24 02-12-2011 10:44 PM

Whoever created had something in mind....it is good we dont all think alike...lol

mmonohon 02-12-2011 10:46 PM

Would make a great fussy cut for a kid quilt.

Annaquilts 02-12-2011 11:38 PM

Chop chop chop and then sew. That way you can not identify the ugly print but would still have the pretty blue.

carolaug 02-13-2011 01:14 AM

potholder....or a tote bag...

craftybear 02-13-2011 01:17 AM

would be cute for a pillow case, pillow, travel pillow

I bet kids love it

suecq 02-13-2011 01:55 AM

I agree
How about a stack'n'whack? or I Spy
My Grand kids would like it.

liminanc 02-13-2011 03:10 AM

I was think sew them together and make bean bags for the kids bean bag game. Sometimes I will use fabric such as yours, for my quilt backs for the household quilts that get used everyday.

magpiefeather 02-13-2011 03:16 AM

Cut the little fellers out and add 3-D ears!

Marion Jean 02-13-2011 03:19 AM

It made me chuckle

plainpat 02-13-2011 03:32 AM

Backing for a crib quilt?

This is my line of thinking also. Strip cut, strip cut complimentary colors, sew strips together, cut strips into blocks. Good fabrics, good colors, good blocks, good gracious - ugly's gone.

teacherbailey 02-13-2011 04:34 AM

I think it's cute, in a weird kind of way. Why not fussy cut it into squares or rectangles, centering the character, then sew it into a quick quilt using alternating blocks with some red and white.....quilt it then donate it to a kids shelter or hospital?

cmw0829 02-13-2011 04:37 AM

It has its uses and could be cute for a kid.

What do the red letters say? And what does it say in white to the lower right of the character.

Connie 02-13-2011 05:08 AM

possible toe portion of slippers?

#1piecemaker 02-13-2011 05:09 AM

Fussy cut and use for the focus blocks. He is cute and I think he has an idea.

CarrieAnne 02-13-2011 05:21 AM

I really like the colors! I would go Stack'n'whack!

Rody 02-13-2011 05:25 AM

Ok, what's a "stack and whack"? Or a Kaleidescope quilt?

Forgive me, I'm sort of new here.

karenpatrick 02-13-2011 05:37 AM

I would put it at the bottom of my stash and try to forget that I have it. lol

Stitchnripper 02-13-2011 05:40 AM

I think a child would love the character incorporated some way into a quilt.

PunkQuilter 02-13-2011 06:18 AM

It would buff my car quite nicely!

QuiltinMama 02-13-2011 06:25 AM

My first thought was to use it at the top of a baby hooded towel..and matching little washcloth... use terry cloth fabric or an old towel..under it and it would make a darling gift..
Hugs
Quiltinmama
ps donations of these to the nearest baby hospital or homeless shelter for the babies..just a thought..

stitchinwitch 02-13-2011 06:35 AM

donate it

LindaJR 02-13-2011 06:46 AM

Make bean bags out of it and donate to a couple schools or day care centers. Kids would like that print.

mhansen6 02-13-2011 07:00 AM

It would make a great quilts for kids.

rosalyne 02-13-2011 07:07 AM

make a quilt for a child. they love bright colors.

tdgiffin 02-13-2011 07:08 AM

Ummm sew ears on them?

ckcowl 02-13-2011 07:24 AM

for a kids quilt it is cute fabric, you could cut 3 1/2" squares with the figures centered and do a patch work with lots of primary colors and them randomly placed, maybe with other little items in other fabrics...turning it into an eye=spy quilt...or use them in border squares around a childs quilt with blues and reds...look up kids quilts on the web and you will see all sorts of ideas for fabrics like that
