Why not use both? One narrow and the other wider?

I agree with Quiltmom04, my eye was drawn to the pumpkin fabric and not the beautiful quilting. I think the dark fabric is gorgeous and it would show of your work very well.

Could you use one on the front and one on the back, and have two totally different looks for your gorgeous quilting? Is the quilted center reversible, or is the back of it yucky fabric?

If only one can be used I'd go with the dark brown.

Definitely the pumpkins

I'd use both, in borders. I might trade-in, however, the pumpkins for a colorful (similar fall colors) leaf design to keep up that sophistication that many others have mentioned above.

Let's see that finished product when finished - it will be lovely with that center work.

[[ now that I read other posts... I agree with Debbie C ]]

what to use:

I love both fabrics.. the oak leaf would disappear with the pumpkins and maybe with the darker
fabric. I think the darker would look more sophisticated like some others have said. and you could use an orange quilting thread for the oak leaf( or green or yellow or multicolored!)

Exactly what she said....love the quilting!

Tartan, have you made a decision yet? Beautiful quilting, love it!

Whatever you decide, make sure you show us the end result. Your quilting is fantistic!

The quilting is so beautiful I would use the darker fabric so it remains the focal point. The pumpkins are pretty but eyes would be drawn to them and away from the lovely quilting
