Progress on my plan for this weekend. Finished the central portion of my Fish quilt and decided that even with the first border cut and ready to go the quilt will be too small for an 18 year old young man. Went off to purchase more fabric to make the finished quilt larger. This pattern did not provide the amount of fabric needed for different sizes of finished quilt top. I made a guess but missed the mark by about a yard of background. .

Made more wonky stars this morning and afternoon. Happy with step by step progress. The photo shoot will happen on Monday.

Enjoyed my sew day with the guild, but not much accomplished stitching wise. I hope to unpack and set it on the design wall for tomorrow to share

Working on the last 3 blocks for my quilt. Hope to finish them today after church and grocery store. Then I will figure out sashing.

Yesterday's mistake turned out to be not so bad -- only one piece was wrong. But I didn't get a lot of sewing done. So I have 3 of the 4 quarters done, the subunits of the 4th quarter are done, now they need to be combined.

Today is our bowling date day. I should get some sewing time in before that while hubby is still sleeping in, but it is not one of my productive work days.

Tomorrow I have some honey-do list things that I have to be part of. Mostly moving furniture and such

Iceblossom, bowling sounds like fun. I ordered the shoes from Amazon, but haven't been since Covid.
At about 3:00, we did get into the pool for the first time this season! I've been heating up the hot tub and floating in there since the last "cold front" passed, but now the temperature is fine!
I did cut lots of 5" squares and matched them up for 34 blocks. I plan to make 6 blocks across with 8 rows. I am done "creating" scraps. I plan to use what I have already cut to construct the remaining 14 blocks. I have really organized the little stash of scraps that I did have into one neat tub! (I still have individual tubs of solids) Wish me luck-I am cutting triangles today!

Our son, daughter, and granddaughter came home yesterday to do some backyard cleanup and planting of containers for our deck. This was part of their Mother's Day gift to me and one I always appreciate! So nice to have them home and planting flowers just like we used to do when they were little ones. Today is my sewing day which will include working on one of the many block of the month projects I have cooking and making more bowtie blocks for my leader and ender project that has been going on since 2011. Also, I am going to bake up some rhubarb and strawberry crisp. Bought some rhubarb at the farm stand where we bought the plants yesterday, and I have been drooling ever since!

Looking forward to some more pictures, but I haven’t gotten back into the sewing room yet today. We had a long walk in the lovely weather, and a load of laundry completed, just have to remake the bed now. Took time to trim all the indoor plants and cleaned the corner window before setting everything back…. All happy things to do, but still would like to get a few stitches in this afternoon. Hope everyone is having a good weekend!

Got a lot of planting done this winter/spring. Here in Florida it's now summer. And the rainy season hasn't started. Takes hour+ to water everything. Possibility of rain this week.
Errands yesterday, church today. I'm tired so sewing is lagging.
And kitties are climbing design wall. Must shut door. Remember to shut door.

These are the blocks I've been working on. I am making 6 of each for the quilt. The blocks are 16 1/2" each and I'm going to sash them.
Hope I can get pictures to load on this new computer.

Well there is a lot of production happening this weekend! I'm back in Cincinnati for a few days to do some things here and then we'll take the cats back to Tennessee. Movers don't come with our stuff until second week of June though so we're going to be roughing it. Well, me more than the cats because I'm taking a lot of their stuff. I will have handwork with me and I could finally sort though the thousands of pictures on the laptop and organize them. I will check back in tomorrow :)
