Well Hubby woke up in a bad mood, or woke up fine until he saw outside.

A week ago they were saying we would have a light dusting of snow today (under 1/4") so we went out to Costco on the day before Thanksgiving to find out "how bad could it be" (it was busy but plenty of parking and people were moving fast) mostly because we were low on coffee. As the days have progressed that light dusting has moved up to 2-3" accumulation. So good thing is we have coffee and other supplies to keep us going.

I'm happily finishing up my Bonnie Hunter clue before tackling cleaning/organization downstairs. Don't know if the contractor will come on Monday or not -- in Seattle everything just stops if there is snow anywhere.

Instead of quilting pictures, here's snow, Since we are still waiting to unpack things until the contractor work is done we are not parking inside the garage. Picture one is front of the house. We already had a sand truck go up and down the hill. We have a pretty small usable yard, less than we had before but we have almost an acre total including the ravine out back. There's a good 10 foot drop before it levels out more. We did get a fence put in before winter so the dogs have a safe place to go out.

Iceblossom I remember winters in Silverdale WA 1/2 of a inch of snow and everything shut down back in the 90's. I grew up in Minnesota so that was nothing to me, I was 1/3 of the staff that made it to work that day, we were suppose to have 10 or 11 people at the store. We had a 1/2 inch dusting last night but the temps were just right to make glare ice on the bridges. We had to go up to the city for a after Thanksgiving diner with my husbands aunt and her kids. They chose a Applebee's to meet at, and we were careful on the way home as the snow got a little heaver. Saw 2 accidents and one person in front of us fishtailing.

Love all the pictures of projects and snow. I don't think I got any stitching done yesterday. I was able to clean a little and now I am going to go out in the gray day and see if I can get a picture of the quilt I promised yesterday. Then I think I will sneak out one of my machines and do some quilting on the baby gift.

I am happy with my progress this weekend, thanks to VQW giving me mojo to stencil. I use Prochemical fabric paint, cut the stencils using my Circuit. I got close to 30 done.

Craft fair went well yesterday, sold quite a bit, a lady that was set up next to me was selling rope bowls. She had three tables with displays for her bowls, she nearly sold out. Something for you crafters out there looking for ideas to sell at craft shows.

Oh, BTW, I was reading on someone's past post, back in 2016, and it was a VQW post mixed in, it got me wondering, when did VQW start?, It amazes me monthly, people get together and sew and share. Still gray out, but I was able to hang the quilt and get a picture. I'm finishing up dishes then onto quilting.

Quiltah Mama—I think I started the monthly threads for VQW back in 2012 maybe? It’s been a long time!

I’ve finished my Christmas decorating. I knew I wouldn’t get much done in my sewing room this weekend but did accomplish the two items I wanted. Hopefully tomorrow I’ll get in my room and do a little work.

So sad, not a single stitch of any kind this weekend. :( Boo Hoo! So much to do and so little time. Enjoyed living vicariously through your finishes or at least progress on projects. Maybe in December I can dust off the sewing machine and find some satisfaction and happiness in creating fabric snuggles.

It's lovely seeing everyone's projects. Such pretty quilts and pics of snow. I am personally hoping for no snow in Delaware this year. Not that we get much but folks just don't know how to drive on dry roads around here and when you add snow into the mix it's a nightmare trying to go anywhere. If there is a report of 1" of snow you can bet there will be no milk or toilet paper to be found at any store! I grew up out in the country and if you don't have it, you don't use it. There was no running to town for anything. I doubt I will get any sewing done the next few days, as I am baby sitting my sons 4 Huskies while he is in Virginia with his wife looking after her dying mom.

I finished piecing all 90 blocks for a string quilt! Now, if I can get them all joined together...

Thank you Heather for hosting. I attempted to do the quilting on the baby gift and had to frog stitch twice, so I gave up. I have been working on more binding.
