Best laid plans..... I was just about to finish the baby I Spy, and my belt broke on the machine. The belt I got as a back up from Hobby Lobby is too big. Guess I run to the store tomorrow after visiting mom. I'll switch to some cutting and hand sewing tonight, I have a few projects in the works and there is still some fabric that need to be pressed.

We made a batch of Chicken noodle soup today, very tasty with homemade Amish noodles. It was just the thing to warm up after being outside. Those of you in the south stay warm and be careful you are not used to what we get here in the north.

Long story that I will just not share but I ended up with most of what I could work on today in my car and honestly, it is just too cold, -10 windchill to go out too dig through to find a project to work on. So I went searching in my UFO basket and found a quilt that needed red fabric to finish a UFO. Did not find enough red but I did find a Christmas UFO quilt I started last year. So I pulled it out and discovered it was a nearly finished top. All blocks were finished and most sashing done and sections assembled to make it an on-point layout. Dove in and started adding setting triangles nearly half finished! Yea! So happy that I had the background fabric set aside in the project box with the block strips. Lots of pressing and I only need to add two sashing strips. Will finish all but the two sashing strips which will be done tomorrow. An unexpected finish that wasn't on my VQW "To Do List".:) Clapping hands and doing a lively happy dance.

I guess I was dreaming this morning when I said I would bind and quilt two quilts today, blame it on the caffeine. ☺️
I did mange to finish one, but still have to finish the binding on the second one, project for tomorrow. Ashley, your pixel quilts just amaze me.

Thanks, everyone. Today will be tidy up day. Then, nothing else until hanging/display sleeves are attached on 2 quilts. I am such a procrastinator! Show is Feb 8! If I finish that today, I'll work on what to do next with jellyfish, sashing-wise. I really need another yard of background, but will make decisions later!
I have some red jeans that have become to large to wear-yea! and want to make a bag from this YT video.

Well, I'm not quilting this weekend, but at least I am sewing. At my ski club, there is a bedroom with a semi-circle window at the top of a door that is very close to an outside light with a motion detector. The light going on and off multiple times during the night is annoying to many folks, so I took a cloth blackout shade that can be raised or lowered and adapted it to be appropriately sized for the window. Murphy's Law was in full effect, as I made several errors along the way (nothing a seam ripper couldn't undo, though.), plus my machine was in a grumpy mood and I had to pull out the bobbin and race hook multiple times to get it un-jammed. But in the end, I got there, and the curtain looks good.1

The building was an old hotel back in 1964 when ski club bought it, and it hasn't gotten any younger. Maintaining the building and doing renovation work is always a bit of an adventure. There are folks with handy-man skills that can work on things I am ill equipped to tackle, but THIS project - right up my alley! It's nice to be able to contribute in a way that quite a few other folks cannot.

I managed to get my Wall hanging quilted and binding made but did not get to the binding. Perhaps today since it’s too cold to be outside for any length of time.

aashely333 - I agree WOW!

It's a balmy 2 degrees out with a chill factor of -12 right now and suppose to get worse the nexxt couple of days. Good part is it's not going to last long and the last time we had these temps was 2019, Think I'll just stay in today, do a few chores and sew.
