Been following along. Beautiful work. Since tomorrow -Thursday is forcast over 100 degrees. We've been working to get sprinkles working and other things watered. Also read some books. Today I'll sew.

I didn't do any actual quilting today but did prep several small projects to work on after tomorrow's grocery delivery. Laminated some Deb Tucker Blockbusters and put away a few things in my sewing room. All in all, I feel it was a very productive weekend for me. Lately I had been having a difficult time getting motivated to do anything in my room. Finishing the potholders this weekend got me moving again so thank you all for joining me over the past few days! See you the end of June for the next one!

I got the applique pieces all cut out and placed, so will take it to our daughter's tomorrow and hopefully get it all sewn down before DGD's birth on Friday. Other DD asked for a mask with elastic, folds and a filter pocket, so got that done. Made a label for DSIL's quilt that looks like a camper (he's in the RV business). Most exciting of all, got everything put away in my studio and even vacuumed so I'll come home to a nice neat place to start my next project. It was a successful VQW for me.

I did get some sewing in after all. I mostly enjoyed being outside in the sunshine, but today was cooler, so decided to start my spring cleaning this AM, got the living room, bathroom, and laundry room all done. I always wait for the woodstove to be done prior to starting the spring cleaning, and with the cold hanging on this spring, we had a wood fire two weeks ago. It finally feels more like summer around here, and that always inspires me to do a deep cleaning, that and the sunlight coming through the windows always "reveals" what needs to be cleaned. Once I felt satisfied with what I got cleaned, I did some sewing. Once of the cords was sewn Thursday, so it doesn't really count toward VQW, but the other two cords for jelly roll rugs I did in spurts over the weekend and today. Thank you Raggiemom for hosting once again and for inspiring so many to set goals, accomplish them, and enjoy our love of time at the sewing machine.

This weekend, I didn’t get much done on my list. I did pick out fabric from my stash (except the backing), for the mystery quilt today. I did not start on the mystery, I just did not like the backing fabric. I needed 4.5 yards of beige fabric and only had 1 yard of 3 different pieces of different shades. So I just collected the steps and put it on the bottom of my wish list. I need to buy backing fabric. I picked out the fabric for the 20 masks I need to make. A tomorrow project. I made progress on the 15 day -100 block challenge top. I cut out 6 days of blocks and selected the fabric for the last 3 days. I’m really enjoying this project. I finished by reorganizing my sewing area down stairs. So it was a productive weekend, just no serious sewing done.

I was busy all weekend, just not with sewing. I'm unpacking a zillion boxes from my move. I did unearth fabric & got a lot of it organized. I moved from a 3- bedroom house to a 2, so I have to be creative with storage. My 2nd BR will need to serve as a guest room as well as a sewing room for now. I have vague plans to set up a she-shed for sewing, but that's down the road. I've enjoyed reading & viewing everyone's progress, though. Thanks Raggiemom, for hosting & I intend to join the next VQW!

Well I did it! I got my 10 Farmer's Wife blocks done plus two more. I am wondering why I started this quilt but... I am 3/4 to the finish line, so will plug along. I think that I need to redo the block in the upper right. Not enough contrast. Oh, well, I did it once, I can do it again.

So much progress this week-end by so many on the thread. I am impressed. This kind of concentrated motivation appears to be good for us.

I moved forward on the quilting of a wallhanging. That's progress.
