Thank you everyone for sharing! I managed to get my top together and pieced a scrappy border…always a challenge when my stash is older fabrics 😀 will just do my stay stitching before heading out of my sewing room for the night! 40.5” x 52”
I forgot to mention…decided to empty some of my bobbins….5 before using a “matching” one!

I got my 2.5 Birthday Swap squares sorted by color and the bins put away. So I can cross off #3 from my list. Today was a no sewing day, so tomorrow after church and a potluck, I will hang out in my sewing room and work on numbers 1 or 2.

Cam's Mom, I have trouble with blocks falling from my design wall, also. I take a quick pic of the wall with my phone so that I have a reference. Yesterday, I completed 5 blocks, which doesn't sound like much, but that is 500 tiny squares! I am loving my 1/4" strip ruler! I usually cut 4 strips WOF at a time to strip. Definite game changer for creating 1.25" squares when I run out of a color. I am stitching a lot so that I can pin while watching The Cowboys!

Didn't get much done sewing-wise yesterday, but we spent a lovely fall day out and about the local area, doing our milk pickup, farmer's market (almost done for the year), and a local area wide event of small town/community festivals and garage sales. While shopping the garage sales I bought a huge tote of fabric I shouldn't have bought... but in that tote were two excellent pieces for the Dragon Hoard project.

Which is good because I don't seem to have enough of my little crazy units to get all the way done. You know that feeling where you think you've made thousands of units and it turns out, no...only a couple of dozen. The other end of the spectrum is when you aren't quite sure so make some more and end up with about twice of what you need/wanted.

Today I am going to clean off my table, making the little bits more organized and hope to find some missing blocks. If not, perfect time to add in some new fabric to the project so it can be mixed throughout it. If I don't find any lost/hidden blocks, I think I have enough bits/partial blocks for 20 of my 25 needed. So not bad, still have plenty of fabric already pulled for the project and these new pieces and a dark that got missed in the previous go-rounds.

Iceblossom, I thought it was just me that couldn’t count. I always end up one or two blocks short or a dozen over. Thanks for letting me know I’m not alone.

I got a lot done on my cross stitch piece yesterday. We are in storm prep mode today. Putting things to right so they don’t blow away. We are miles from the coast and on high ground so not worried about flooding. If we flood, the entire county will be under water! But we are surrounded by trees. Normally a good thing, except during wind storms. No trees close to the house but plenty to clean up if any come down. Our electric has gone off twice this morning for a short period and blinked several times, so I don’t think it’s a good time to be using my longArm. And the storm isn’t expected to arrive until late tonight. Looks like I will be doing more hand work.

Thimblebug, love how your quilt turned out. Great idea on adding the trees. I finished mine yesterday and am really happy with it!

I've made progress on my to-do list, and as an added benefit I picked up a little bit and cut scraps. Happy Canadian Thanksgiving!

I got done what I wanted to do this weekend, quilt-wise. I got my backing pieced together for my current project. Two 2-yd pieces sewn the long way and two strip sets horizontally. Each strip set ended up at 9.25 so along with the 2-yd pieces I have just enough backing to do the sandwich. It is not going to a longarmer as I will be doing the quilting myself so I didn't need a ton of overage. Next is to make the actual sandwich. And I did get a cello session in too, so all in all a good weekend.

Made some progress yesterday. The binding on my Easy Breezy is progressing, 2 sides done. Lots of progress on my EPP project too. I have Ellie, my Elna 500, back together and ready for some sewing time. Nothing special is planned for today, which means I should have sewing room time. Here's yesterday's EPP, for today I should be able to applique the two circles together.

I’ve got over 2 dozen of my blocks done so far. Allergies are working on me and I just want to close my eyes. It’s hard to sew that way. Maybe an allergy tablet will set me straight.
