Stuffing for pet beds is a good use for these. I read years ago that it's best not to throw out fabric scraps for birds, as the fabric does not dry out fast enough after a rain (the way twigs and grass do), keeping a nest damp longer and potentially causing pneumonia in baby birds.

They work great as kindling!

All I see is some selvages and skinny bits. When people comment about all the waste that the Accuquilt cutters produce, I have to shake my head. What do people "waste" with rotary cutters??? I can assure you the pile would be much larger;>

I do think those cutter are a bit wasteful , I give all my scraps to my little grandies Kindy they love them and will take sny amount you can give them . Cathy

Anything that small I give to the local school for the kids to make collages with

We collect these small unusable scraps at our retreats and give them to an animal shelter that uses them for bedding.

Those are the kind of things that can get me all clogged up storing because "they can be used for SOMETHING"! If you feel you need to keep them because of that, give yourself a deadline to use them, and then they're out. Luckily our guild show has a yard sale type area, so I've been doing some major cleaning, hoping someone will actually want some of those scraps and half finished projects I'm going to get rid of.

Yes, the scraps are minimal for the energy saved using the GO.....I use mine as often as I can....as far as scraps, threads for bird nests..heard the same about the danger of dampness, but also strangulation/ choking from the thread bits....I personally save mine in a pillow case?..old or purchased from local goodwill or make one from a WHY? Piece of fabric, when full sew shut and take a ride to local vets office......

I do the same. Save what I know will not use the rest goes to friend who makes beds for shelters

I save all my unusable scraps to fill pet beds. I was puzzling over what size to make them. Gladmaker, thank you for mentioning pillow cases as the size.
