I am trying to find a source for water soluble thread. Our local stores don't have it.

What do you use it for? Basting a quilt before the quilting begins?

I could not find any locally either. I found it on line at these sites:
http://www.joggles.com/store/catalog...18&src=froogle http://www.byannie.com/water_soluble_threads.html http://www.thefind.com/crafts/info-water-soluble-thread There are more sites, just depends who you like to do business with and shipping costs always play into it with me. Good luck and enjoy! |

I use it to baste smaller pieces of water soluble stabilizer together to fit my large hoop on my embroidery machine.
It's great for basting....'cause then you don't have to take it out..just wash your item. |
I am doing some trapunto and need it for the first stitching. I can do it without but then I would have two rows of stitching. I guess they didn't have it in the old days did they?

Thanks, I'll try it.

Thank you, that was a great help

I never thought of using it for that.
