Well,look at it this way... if there are any problems with the pattern, you'll have them all figured out by time you get to the full-size version!

Lol, Lemons from Lemonade. Great tip, always read the complete directions before cutting. I am GUILTY of that offense also. Neat pattern. Thanks for sharing.

Use your smaller squares and make the bigger quilt by adding to it. more blue background, then red and white alternating squares and the border? Or when making more background you could make HST pine trees next to Santa and/or his presents bag. Well, it's a cute pattern.

Oh man, don't you just hate it when you do things like that? Frustrating to say the least. But your alternative is great! If you make two and don't feel like keeping the wall hanging maybe it would be a cute baby quilt for a little one for Christmas.
