what is the average time for hand sewing the binding?
well I started and finished my binding. for a queen it was 2 1/2 hours of sewing..... my thumb hurts.... how long do you take and do you space out your time?

I think it just depends on the skill level of the binder (smile). Sounds like you did a wonderful job in a short amount of time. Kudos.

I did two and the third one I did on the machine, not to thrilled with that one, first time and it was sewn on for hand stitching so i think it was upside down.. thats ok, it is a knock around one ... learning by my mistakes....

I don't do an entire queen binding at one sitting...... my hands are too old and hand stitching over a couple of days is the best way for me. It sounds like you stitched it pretty quickly.... good for you

Sounds like you did it fairly quickly. I usually break up the time spent on hand sewing binding unless I'm on a deadline. The only machine binding I've been happy with is the tutorial Charismah did for QB.

It takes me several, 3-4, nites in front of the tv. I am slow, but I like my bindings, so worth it.

Takes me a couple of movies.

For a queen I would figure 4-6 hours. You are fast!!

I try to do one side per evening while watching TV. That kind of pacing works best for me. It is very enjoyable.
