I would love to have some of that WOW the chenille, baby blankets from flanel come out so nice and the children love them even if they are a lot of work. I made one for a friends son about 5 years ago and he still to this day drags it around, his dad says it is his favorite.

You have all come up with some great ideas, OK if I steal a couple? :)

Not sure if it's been mentioned but Chenille from flannel is fabulous.

Wow, that is a lot of flannel!! I love making rag quilts out of flannel. Flannel rags up really well and makes the quilt oh so soft. What a find you made!

you could make microwavable rice bags. You know the kind you heat in the microwave and then put on your achy joints, Great for pet beds too . you could donate a few to your locale spca. Also there is always rag quilts and receiving blankets you could donate to a local charity.

Oh you could also cut it into strips and make some really toasty braided rugs out of it. or some of the new fabric bowls
