Another suggestion is to sort them into lights and darks, and do half-square triangles with them, then arrange them into a pattern that you like. Something like this:
http://www.quiltingboard.com/t-40862-1.htm Put a light square and a dark square together, (right sides together) draw a line from one corner to the other, then draw a dotted line 1/4 inch from each side of the line. Sew on the dotted lines, then cut apart on the solid line. Voila! You have Half-square triangles! Now just press them open, and arrange them how you like. Best of luck, whatever you decide to do. go to Missouri Quilt Company and they have tutorials and videos that have all sorts of great ideas for you Charm packs I make baby quilts with them. Life is good!! Have fun.

They would make a great snowball quilt. That's easy and everyone loves them because they look so hard but are not.

Missouri Star has a u tube for a dredsen plate made from 5 in squares. I made a wall hanging and am now making a larger quilt from my charm packs.

Hi DYER 804 - the video recommended by MOONRISE could be perfect for you, it's easy to do and looks great when put together. It's on page 1 here. I actually said "wow" when I saw how simple it is to make pinwheels and now I know what to do with some 5" squares I've been putting aside.

There are two "Nickle Quilts" books out. I have one but I'm not home right now so don't know the author. Some really nice quilts there.
