Just got quilt back from LA and now putting binding on. Do you wash your quilts before you give them away? I'm thinking I should since it is a wedding gift but just wonder what you do!
Thanks for any info!

Yep, I do too. That way, it gets the "wrinkling" I love started and I know it is clean of any oil from my/the LAQ's hands.

I always wash it before sending them to their new home.

I always wash them before giving away.

Interesting about the fabric softener sheets...never heard of that. I wouldn't do it myself though because of my own allergies. Just something to keep in mind for your recipients. :)

I always wash and dry mine before giving them away.

I do in part to make sure it won't fall apart and cause the recipient to panic. If something need attending I do it before giving it away.

I always wash before giving. I want the quilting to start showing AND if there are problems, they will show with the washing and I can fix or fall back and re-group.

I always wash too.
