I make coasters (mug rugs) and bind them with the leftovers. If you are making a scrappy quilt, iron them out and make your own fabric piece.

Maybe I'm just lazy...but I bring the backing around to form the binding.

That's not lazy. I have a backing-binding quilt on my todo list as well. I've only been quilting for a little over a year so I'm still trying out different techniques to see which I feel more comfortable with.

Hmmm - mine are in a box labeled "binding leftovers". Not sure why I saved them; just knew they would come in handy some day. Thanks for all the great ideas!

I sew them together and use the binding for scrappy quilts. If it is less then 4" I put it in my string collection.

I sew them together and use them for colorful scrappy community outreach quilts

No need to throw them away, use them to bind charity quilts, place mats, table runners, etc.
