I always sew the 2 cut off ends together. One piece instead of 2. Will use later for strippy quilt. I cut my bindings 2 1/2" & fold. Same width as a jelly roll. I keep separate from other scraps. I do not feel these pieces are scrapas, just small pieces of stash.

Put them in a crazy quilt or add them all together for a varigated binding or use the bits for applique.

I save mine for small quilts, doll quilts.

I have heard of people using phone book paper for string piecing. I was always a bit afraid the ink from the phone books would transfer to the fabrics when pressed. Anyone done one of these and was the ink a problem?

O use my left overs for scrap quilts. They are ready to go, just stitch together. Voila!

Use them on scrappy quilts, think it looks really nice.

I sew them together for scrappy quilts. They go into my scrap boxes with everything else.

I often make too much binding, so I keep the leftovers and use them to bind smaller projects. Often I will find a nice match in my collection.
