I think I was born to be a scrapper/recycler, I save just about all sizes. They have come in handy 99 per cent of the time. All your ideas are great.

i toss it if it's smaller than 6 inches. i tried a qayg and i dont think i will EVER do another unless it is in small pieces and cotton batting only so its not so poofy!

I sew pieces together with a zigzag stitch to use in projects or use them in my Swiffer for the floor.

I finally found a good use for all my batting scraps...Packing up all my Christmas decor..I used the scraps for wrapping fragile decorations...and putting in totes...used up all my scraps..need to quilt more quilts now...good excuse to start new projects...not that I needed one...excuse that is...Happy New Year to everyone...

When I first started quilting I saved every small pieces of fabric and batting...now unless the fabric is at least a 3 1/2" or larger plus a fabric I like and will have uses for it later on and the batting would work in at least as wide and long for a handle or bigger will I keep. Otherwise I give the left overs away to a friend or anyone who wants scraps or I even been known to throw away.

If they are small scraps, I save them for dog beds for the animal shelter. Anything larger is sewn together on the spot to create a larger piece. When it gets large enough, I fold it and store it. I've made many small and wall quilts with nothing but strips of batting sewn together.

I use them to stuff chew toys for my two dogs. They are always tearing them apart. I re-stuff and mend them and they are good again.

Hey Piecemaker! A ham looks just like a real ham in design. It's used to press set in sleeves or any type curve[dressmaker things or mens clothes]. You lay whatever you need pressed over a part of the ham and press with an iron. Big spot on big part of ham or little spot on the little part of the ham. Happy New Year Barny
