i really like it. that said, i'm a 'balanced' person. so i would change the block above the center triangle to your yellow/red combo.

I wouldn't use white for the binding, as the edges seem to get dirty more quickly. Try the red or yellow. They'll really stand out and "frame" it. That's a great baby boy quilt. I'm getting a new grandson next month and am busily making all kinds of receiving blankets and buntings. Also made a minky quilt out of left overs my friend gave me. The only thing I don't like about it, is I didn't have any blue to put in it. BUT, it's soooo soft and cuddly! :)
Gerry in Mn. Have fun making your baby things,... I can't seem to keep up.. made one in Jan for granddaughter, this one for nephews boy due April, and a nieces girl due in May. |
Looks great!

Verrry nice!!! Great job.

I really like it! The only thing I might change are the 4 patch blocks (the ones with the 2 large squares and 4 patches) so that all the small bright squares go to the center.

Love it!!!!

I like your color combo, but I wouldn't use a lot of white. You know how babies leak. I would also change the block above the center to a red one to balance the center out, and the 2nd block from the right in the second row is somehow not turned correctly. It's going to be a cute quilt when done - don't forget to post it again.

If you are expecting this to get used, you might reconsider white binding. Try auditioning a narrow red (1") to stop the quilt from running into the border. Then a blue border and bind with blue.
Very cute quilt for a little! peace |
It looks great!
