These are some I think would work if you like fabric.com

I think the granite doesn't work, I think a solid would be better. I think the "cards" should be the star -- although the colors are in the granite, it's a nice choice if you are going that route.

I think the contrast is great. It sets the blocks off! The colors complement each other!
|
I really like it. Your squares tell me you like different and bold. I think that is what your fabric is. Go for it!
|
My first thought was to put black sashing around the blocks to make them pop.

It's an Alexander Henry line called Folklorio. I think I got them from Fabricworm.com. There are several colorways, and I think they're all gorgeous.

I love the blocks, where did you buy the lotteria blocks ? I sure would love to make my sister one as she is always play this game back home in Texas.
As for your color scheme, ( background fabric ) I myself love it, however, you might do a narrow border around each block in a dark solid color. |
I don't think the fabric you have displayed is waayy off but it is a different style. I would probably try a black background with tiny polkadots which would pick up the skeletons and make the cute whimsical squares stand out.
Go with your gut but try a few Love the squares! |
I know they're not right for everyone, but I think my bf will love them!

I love it. Blends very well with the funny lotteria card blocks. Now, just don't ask my opinion of the funny lotteria card blocks! LOL!!!

I think I like this fabric with those blocks. I didn't when I first looked at it, but I think it grew one me!

My 2 cents...LOVE both the blocks and the fabric, but not together. Sorry!
Please let us know what you decide. Anita |
