If only one the circle but I agree with many others her I would use both.
Both look great but I am partial to the circle as it "goes with" the fabric.
BTW - I love the quilt!! |
I think the circle works better with the design in the fabric, and with the quilt pattern, and if it were me, that is what I would use. Having said that, the heart design is so sweet for a grandaughter ! I'm not much help am I ? :)
I vote circle :)
they are both nice, but for a grand daughter, maybe the heart fits best, or you could use both, but I would definately add the heart to it as well.
I love the heart!! I think it gives it a more dainty look.
Both are beautiful, but granddaughter and hearts just seem to go together. :-D
the circle
I like the heart. Fill the quilt with love.
Alternate and use both...its a lovely quilt!
My vote goes to the circle. Love your quilt top. The finished quilt will be gorgeous no matter if you use one or both quilting templates.
I like them both but for some reason I think the circle fits a little better
circle - definately circle

Circle for me.
WOW, great suggestions, but i to am partial to hearts, go with hearts.
I'd use both I think.
I like the heart one myself, but either one would be pretty.
I like the circles. It goes with the circles in the black fabric.
The circle gets my vote since it fits better.
I like the circle best. It is a beautiful quilt and your granddaughter will surely love it regardless of how it is quilted. :)
Both are beautiful but I agree about the circle. Those look like the Candlewicking templates I used to use long time ago.
May I ask you a question? I am totally new at quilting... Where do you buy those templates and are they use for quilting with a sewing machine and if it is what kind of foot?? You did a real good job I think I prefer the heart template.. Thanks for any help :-)

Thanks for the help! I will take a look at JoAnn Fabric..Hopefully I will start to do something.. I have so much a hard time to convince myself that I can do it.. I am learning so much here!! I guess it is time now to just do it... :-D
I vote for the circle, would love to see the fnished product, thanks for sharing.
I think I like the circle better. If the size works out, maybe a heart right in the middle?
I vote circle. I find the heart a little busy with all the angles in the piecing. Lovely quilt!
circle
I like the circle also.
You can't go wrong either way! I did hearts for my oldest grandaughters quilt! But they are both beautiful!!

Since the blocks are on point, the heart would look really, really good.

I think I would alternate
Both are lovely; I like the heart just a bit more.
I like the variety of alternating the two patterns.
