Neez-Ez doesn't work for me - either on wood floor or tile floor. I think I'll try masking tape suggested above.

I use a rubber pad sold for opening jars. It's not very big, but it works for me. It also keep a baby from sliding out of a high chair ;)

Had the same problem and then discovered the Martelli one. Your foot pedal will not move. I also got the one for my sewing machine and it is great. Machine stays put and even sounds softer rather than the sound on the wood table. You can find them at Martelli.com or at some of the other fabric stores (local or on line). An earlier post said she found it at Walmart. The foot one alone is cheaper than the one in Nancys Notions but there is a discounted price if you buy the machine and pedal one together. Martelli also sells them at the quilt/sewing shows if there is one coming to a place near you.

The only thing that I know is what I saw my 6 year old granddaughter do when I was giving a sewing lesson to her one day. I had shown her how to hold the fabric, where to watch, etc. One of the things I stressed was to sit straight on her chair, with her feet on the floor.... So after a minute or so of sewing I realized she had placed one foot on the pedal and the other foot on the rubber mat that was supposed to keep the pedal in place.. It worked!! So now that's the way I sew also, one foot on the pedal. The other on the mat to keep it in place!! Kids, they have more answers than I would have guessed!

Go to the Dollar Store and get a package of he gel pads. They are small so you will probaby need at least 2 . I have found that my pedal doesn't move hardly at all. They are $1.00 or maybe a little more. My best solution so far and inexpensive.

Forgot to add , when they get dirty , pull them off the floor and wash them off.
Dry and put back on the floor. I have been told they also work on carpet, I have
tile floors.

My 301 is still in the cabinet/desk custom built for it in 1956. The power control is mounted on the inside of the chair cavity, with a lever fashioned out of wood fastened by a bolt that acts as a hinge. My knee presses that wood and the machine sews. Why can't some of you or your husbands make one like that for you. You would need a table top and a solid side on which to mount the control.
