Wear what you want.
I wear jeans, t-shirt and crocs. And if in the winter add a sweatshirt jacket. It's your home do what you want to. If they don't like it let the door hit them going out. |
Most of the time I am wearing my pj pants and a t-shirt. I want to feel comfy when I am sewing/quilting. But I am usually covered in threads and fuzz from fabrics so it really is hard to tell what I have on. Haha!

If I am at home, ripped up jeans and a t shirt, or sweatshirt.....well, I guess I wear that pretty much all the time unless I am at work.

I live in shorts and t-shirts.

When I get in from work, I immediately change into drawstring lounge pants and a soft tshirt.
I wish you could arrange it so the next time they catch you sewing you could be in say, an evening gown or a business suit! |
I just wear whatever I have on when I decide to sew...depends on the time of day and what else I've been doing. If it's early in the morning, it's what I slept in...comfy long t-shirt and shorts (or sweats if it's cold). If I've already been out of the house, then it's whatever I decided to wear that day.

Be comfortable, I'm usually alone in the country, hubby works away from home, so jeans & comfortable. I learned from a quilt retreat, how many wear an apron, keeps the strings off your clothes, adds a pocket for keeping seam ripper or snips handy. Tried it, liked it, I can run to town and not look like I'm the dust mop now.
