Besides this wonderful place to meet other Quilters and share ideas, what i like most is that no matter what the problem, there is Always someone with an idea to help you out. Not to mention the endless funny stories that brighten up the day. The Best to me is that whenever a pic is posted, there are always compliments and good wishes for a quilt well crafted...no matter if it's from a "newbie" or other experienced quilters. Where else can you find a place like this......No Where!!!! Thank you to all that take the time to comment and add well wishes! I know it means a lot to me personally :!: :!: :!: :!: :!:

It really is a nice place!

I love the board and everything about it, and expecially the way we make friendships on here and by arranging to meet in person. SO it's on the board and sometimes we can bring it into our lives. I like the "mix" of quilters we have on here, everyone's own way to quilt. I always get a daily smile or too on here and lots of giggles, and I am glad we can share our tears too. Let's hope we can maintain this board and it will always be here for us. The way I talk about it in my life, people must think we have our own "world" to go to.

My friends and family don't "get it". I live in a rural area and don't get out too much (on purpose). This board is my window to the world. Love it here:)

I kind of hung around reading for a long time before chimming in...But it's so nice that you can communicate, share and get information from other quilters from all over the world...and best is "you don't have to leave the hse"

I am talking about group to others like I know each one of you personally. Had someone ask me who are these people you keep referring to? Do they have all the answers?

I've been a member of this AWESOME board for a little over a year and I sometimes wonder how I managed to survive, lol! I know I used to get more sewing done, but I'm NOT complaining. I get on here in the am and after dinner most days. I have learned so much and can't believe the wealth of information that the members pass on. I love to look at all the pics of everyone's projects and the talent is so deversified.

They are the most enjoyable people ever! That's because they are REAL people...not plastic, if you know what I mean.
I believe that even though quilters have their personal preferences on color, pattern, etc..we all are so impressed with the time, work, and love that someone puts into a quilt. :D :D

I do not comment very much. Guess I am too reserved, but I love this board. It and a good cup of coffee starts my day. I am a caregiver for a brother and a son and was for many yrs with parents and father in law, so I do not have the time to make all the quilts I want to make. But quilting and this board helps me so much. Love to all

Joy, if you made that quilt in your avatar, you may not have time to make a lot of quilts, but you sure made a beautiful winner with that one. I would like to see a few close-up shots. It is gorgeous.

I am always saying something about the Quilting Board to my family and neighbor that quilts. You are like family.

Suzi, Thanks for this post. I feel the same way. Wonderful people here who are happy to help with any problem, question or give a suggestion. I'm so very happy that I found this site.

And I always learn something from the questions.

I got to the point..I do not even do anything untl I check the board out in the morning..then again in the evening. My husband is the same way as I am with his Geo caching also. So he does understand.

For children, Disneyland is the happiest place on earth....
For quilters, I think the Board is the happiest place on earth! :lol: :thumbup:

I have respiratory problems and dont get out of the house much,but here I can have a conversation and long visit with my family of quilters,and quilting buddies at any time I feel like it. Bliss;;;;;;;;

Suzi - I was without internet for a week and the thing I missed most was seeing all the fabulous pictures of quilts and the encouraging words of the members of the board. Terrific place! (I did get more quilting done than I usually do - LOL!!!)

I like this board for all the reaons listed .. mostly because of the friends I have met and like it was said above, no matter what the topic is, i can always find someone here who can relate and that has meant the world to me
