I have a Brother Pacesetter NX600 that I love, a Viking Iris sewing/embroidery but I leave it set up just for embroidery. Really nice machine but everything extra is SO expensive for it....I also have a 1926 Singer Model 66 but it is just for display on top of my cabinets. Have to admit I have never even tried to use it.....sad....
I am saving up for a machine with a larger harp so machine quilting isn't such a pain for larger items. It will be awhile before I get it... |
I have the cheapest Singer on the market (I think) that my husband snagged for $20. I have an Elna that's about 40 years old. And I have a Brother embroidery machine that I don't use and currently have on craigslist for sale for $200. I'd love to get my money back for that one.
I don't know what my dream machine is. I don't use machines that much. I've only had my sewing machines for a few months. They're both pretty decent machines, so I'm happy with them for now! I haven't even spent $3000 on a car, couldn't imagine spending that much on a "toy"!!! |
I have a Janome 6600 and I love it! With the exception of a long arm quilter, I have what I need.
|
I have 4 brother machines and 2 bernina's.
1) a simple sewing machine with a few decorative stitches. 2) a quilting embroidery machine. 3) a longarm machine, (Not as long as I would like) 4) a brother overlocker 5) bernina zigzag industrial machine 6) bernina industrial overlocker. Now I just need the time to be able to use them all. LOL |
I have a 20 year old computerized New Home ( now Janome). I love it and have no desire to replace it. Also own a red eye singer treadle, but haven't made anything on it yet.
|
I have an Elna, love it, and a new Janome embroidery-sewing machine and enjoying the new experiences on it too.
|
I have Bernina 730 which I LOVE. Replaced my Kenmore about 6 years ago and have never looked back. I want a second Bernina so I can leave the embroidery unit set up and have one for straight sewing but have not decided which one.

Janome 6500 - bought used at my local sewing center/Janome dealership. LOVE this machine!
I had a Pfaff before but had nothing but trouble with it. I'll always own a Janome. |
I have several machines -- none of them cost $3000, but since I bought them all new they were pricey (but worth it)
-- Elna Supra (I bought it new after DS was born) -- pretty much retired although I love the way it stitches -- Janime Horizon 7700 -- main piecing machine -- Juki on my frame -- Janome 9700 for embroidery -- Janome 3260 to take to class I gave DD my 6500 -- loved that machine |
