I have a BabyLock Melody, which I love. I got it on sale at a BabyLock dealer and used their free financing.

I just bought a used Janome 300E embroidery only machine, but it's not here yet.

Someday, I may buy a serger.

Juki F600 for piecing and sitting for quilting and Juki 98Q for frame quilting and i would buy them both again before anything else.


yes, i can afford a $3000 - i could afford a $20,000 machine - i don't buy them because i do not see the value for the money.

i sold bernina for 6 years and could have purchased one with my employee discount but i never saw the point when Juki works just as well and many times even better for a fraction of the cost.

I have the Viking Designer SE. I love it. I don't use the embroidery like I thought I would. Would rather piece.
I also have a Janome Gem Platinum for going to retreats and classes. Because it is only 12 pounts.
I also have a Voyager 17 longarm machine and frame. Love, Love, Love it.

What's a Juki?

Juki is a Japanese manufacturer of sewing machines. Mainly industrial models. They are very fast and sturdy machines. Some of the models have been developed or adapted for home use mainly by quilters to use on frames.
I do know what they are and have seen them being used but have never seen a dealer for them where you could walk in and look at them. I know they can be purchased online. Those of you that have them, did you get to look at one at a dealer before you purchased? Ann in TN

I have an old Kenmore freearm (first machine I ever bought), a Viking Designer I, a Viking Designer Diamond, a Tin Lizzy L18 longarm with grace frame and shirley stitcher robotics with quilt cad software, and a white 2000s serger. I think I'm set for life thanks to my hubby for spoiling me:)

A Baby Lock strait stitch Jane on a frame.
Viking Sapphire 830 with 10 in throat. Love the needle down with the automatic foot lift when you stop sewing. Use it all the time.
Brother very cheap quilting machine for $129 and came with walking foot, table etc. This is my backup machine when Sapphire is in for servicing.
Some day will get a long arm for frame and use Jane for piecing.

I have a Bernina 1001
My grandmothers treadle that was converted with a motor that made it electric and sews like a dream. That's all I need.. have been sewing on them for many years and they never gave me trouble.

I have a Brother Quattro sewing/embroidery and I love it! Just upgraded with a pen tablet that I can draw designs on or copy pics and embroider them. I worked at an embroidery shop and when it went out of business, I wanted more capabilities than my Babylock Ellure offered so I bought the Quattro.
