Serger, I think. Surely it has a name or model somewhere that you can Google search. I am sure you will find the answer with a little effort.

Suppose it could still be some type of serger but have never seen a serger that has that flat base like that. That is a 4-thread serger. Each knob controls the tension of one of the threads. I cannot make out the brand, but it looks like an older Bernina, 300 or 400 series .... is there a name on it ? Any good sewiong store will have a technician who can bring this cutie back to a productive life. :-D |
It sure looks like a serger to me!

I don't think its a serger. The box looks like a cigar box

throw the thing through a window - it's what you do with those when you have to thread them anyway...

I think it is a Hemmer.....that ladies that altered clothing used. Someone donated one to my sewing group and no one can figure it out ...good luck. I think I bought the manual on line . Although it looks like a newer kind of a machine....mine looked just like that. It now sits in someone else's closet wondering what to do with it. good luck
