Oh.

I thought this was going to be a joke: "How many quilters does it take to . . . "

Just a little quilting humor for ya!

Thanks for this info. I too have the 6500 and although I have not yet needed a new bulb when I do I'll check out the tractor store first.

my sewing machine has a short in the light dept. blows bulbs within two seconds of turning it on... I have a led clipon light on my machine cabinet now...

As far as charging more for exact item...when we had our automotive shop... car A used xyz starter ... cost $75 car B used same exact xyz starter .... cost $12... huh???? It's a way of justifying the cost of the machine...not!

That is the machine I have, and the dealer close to me doesn't sell them anymore, but he still repairs them. I was going to take it to him, but hey were closed by the time I got fed up, I guess I should have brought my DH ionto the room sooner. He knows not to go in there if I don't call him. He didn't think I was using my featherweight anymore so he gave it to Goodwill. LOL.

Dave McCallums 221 book has a great hint--buy a 2" piece of clear, plastic tubing the diameter of your bulb. push it on the end of the bulb & you can do anything with it !

Oh my! My hubby is afraid to come in my sewing room after the fiasco of using my best scissors to cut wire! He will never make that mistake again!!! (Of course, I did go buy 10 pairs of cheap $.99 scissors and have them all over the house so he has no excuse.)

I am afraid I would be sewing in jail if he gave a featherweight away!

I think that's grounds for divorce in 47 states. Either that or the 3-S rule.
