Would have to be a long arm machine and frame and of course the space to place it in.

ebellot 11-04-2011 08:53 AM

would love a feather weight with a case so I can take it were ever I go. I need my sewing machines

JOMARIE 11-04-2011 08:55 AM

Love my Bernina Artista, I would like the latest Bernina so I could embroider and quilt at the same time

Lady Crafter 11-04-2011 08:59 AM

A long arm and all the classes to go with it, and I could not live without my sewing machines (and of course fabric to go along with it).

Quiltbeagle 11-04-2011 08:59 AM

I would add a long-arm quilting machine, with a stitch regulator, or course!

I can't do without my sewing machine, though the rotary cutter comes in at a close 2nd.

NIICHMOM 11-04-2011 09:13 AM

I would definately miss my rulers... I could make due with what I have, but would like a new machine, mine is 38 years old, but still working fine. But it is limited on design stitches.

jlm5419 11-04-2011 09:16 AM

Can't live without a sewing machine. I would LOVE to have a larger room with plenty of storage shelves and/or cabinets to hold my fabric and projects. And since we're talking about an unlimited budget, someone to come in once a week to clean the house, since I'd much rather spend my time in my woman cave than cleaning the rest of the house.

fayzer 11-04-2011 09:16 AM

A new modern sewing machine with all the bells and whistles.

Latrinka 11-04-2011 09:25 AM

I would have to say I would want a big cutting table like Jenny on MissouriStarQuiltCo and a big design wall. What I can't live without would be my trusty old Kenmore sewing machine and my Alto's QuiltCut2!

nancia 11-04-2011 10:08 AM

a long arm set up, complete and the skill to use it! i'm bad at this, i wouldn't give up anything, but in a blaze of the house burning down i'd grab my featherweight. (assuming everything non-quilty was already safe).

Quilterfay 11-04-2011 10:18 AM

A Long arm machine and frame that moves the fabric forward. Then I would have to tear down some walls in my basement.

What I couldn't do with out would be a good seam ripper. I am always tearing things apart. Next would be the rotary cutter.

carolynjo 11-04-2011 11:12 AM

I'd have to say needle, thread, and scissors. We could all still create with those basic supplies. It's like the old granny said when asked which was most important to her in keeping house: running water. That reduces us to the basics doesn't it? We COULD do without anything else and still create, but isn't it fun with all our modern gadgets.

Ditto! And...my corner must be unpacked and repacked each time I use it for the safety of my little ones.

With my unlimited budget I would build a 1b/1ba studio in the backyard. I am ready to build if anyone out there wants to donate to this good cause. :)

I can't live without my Viking Designer I - auto presser foot lift and lower. It is in the shop for maintenance and I feel like I am in the dark ages by manually lifting and lowering the presser foot! I know...spoiled.

1000projects 11-04-2011 11:44 AM

Solar panels ...

sewingsuz 11-04-2011 11:46 AM

I would buy a bigger house and then get a Longarm.

Good Answer! Good Answer! I totally agree.

mmonohon 11-04-2011 11:47 AM

Good lighting is a must.

MadQuilter 11-04-2011 11:48 AM

Maid Service and a personal chef so I could spend all my time IN my sewing room.

miriam 11-04-2011 01:46 PM

I think I already have it ALL... If money were no object I would hire a couple nice non judgmental people to come over and organize it so I could find all the goodies I already have.

What can't I live without? my stitch ripper... and I can't find that either not doubt.

biscuitqueen 11-04-2011 02:51 PM

money no object-------long arm, what I can't do without would be my sewing machines.

margecam52 11-04-2011 02:56 PM

What would I buy first

A good sewing machine; then a cutting table. I have all that I need...took 30 years, but I'm now down to wanting "Stuff"...like a commercial embroidery machine, lol

If you had your choice of one item to add to you quilting/sewing room with an unlimited budget, what would it be?? Also, what is the one thing you have right now you could not live without??

quiltinghere 11-04-2011 03:05 PM

I agree easy answer but a longer version....

The newest, best rated, biggest, most computerized, easiest moving, best customer training long arm out there!

Kathy Osterby 11-04-2011 03:24 PM

I would love a sewing room that dosen't include my bed!

stitchquick 11-04-2011 03:29 PM

jamie Watson 11-04-2011 03:32 PM

I would love one of the almost 400.00 quilting frame that almost stand upright after the quilt is on it.

angelahen 11-04-2011 03:42 PM

1. a sewing room fully stocked with everything and more

2. emmm............ would not want to be without my Bernina 440, but then I would not be without fabric, and then I need thread - this is hard!

writerwomen 11-04-2011 04:33 PM

Massive space and someone to keep it organized so I can do what I love without having to keep stopping to try and find what I need. What I can't do witout are extra lights

Patches1900 11-04-2011 05:20 PM

1. enough uncluttered wall space to make a queen sized design wall (which means adding on to the house) and
2. couldn't do without custom table made by DH complete with well that accommodates my machine with extention
table - gives me a totally flat surface to FMQ and I can remove the extension table for regular sewing jobs such as
hemming slacks.

darlin121 11-04-2011 05:37 PM

I have to agree with Quiltinghere "The newest, best rated, biggest, most computerized, easiest moving, best customer training long arm out there! "
The thing I can't do without? My Babylock Ellisimo sewing machine, it is top of the line and has spoiled me for others.

Greenheron 11-04-2011 05:42 PM

I would love to have a housekeeper/maid service for my quilt room.
Wouldn't want to give up my 'snips'.

sewwhat85 11-04-2011 05:55 PM

i would love an eliso iron (spelling)or a full time sewing buddy
could not do with out my fabric

MissJMac 11-04-2011 06:02 PM

Sweet Sixteen machine and table is what I'd want;
Janome 1600OP and Janome 6260 and Janome 360e. Sorry, I must have all three LOL

lovestosew 11-04-2011 07:11 PM

A long arm quilting machine and a room large enough to keep it!

sharin'Sharon 11-04-2011 08:10 PM

I would enjoy having shelves or enclosed cupboard space. Of course the one thing I couldn't live without, is my sewing machine. Goes with me when I have a few days stay at the kids' houses.

Quilter2B 11-04-2011 08:12 PM

I would have to say space - my creativity is so depressed when I have no room to work.

BETTY62 11-04-2011 08:16 PM

I think I would buy an embrody machine. I lovemy sidewinder and would be lost without it.

ShabbyTabby 11-04-2011 09:19 PM

I would like to have a dedicated sewing room. Now I'm spread all over the dining room and when we have guests I have to clear everthing off the table.

I could not do without my sewing machine.

TanyaL 11-04-2011 09:22 PM

I can not sew without my serger and my embroidery machine.

KathyPhillips 11-04-2011 09:28 PM

I would like a new long arm quilting machine or a top of the line Bernina sewing and embroidery machine, or both really! I can't live without my Bernina 750 sewing and embroidery machine.

ShirlR 11-04-2011 09:41 PM

A custom-built, space-saving cabinet for my 3 machines: embroidery, quilting and serger. What I couldn't live without is my computer, so I can continue to access this Board - LOL!
