What are you wanting to make .... a full size quilt? a wall hanging?

There is a really nice birch tree fabric with snow and a little silver bling that I would want to audition with it. It has a pattern that would play off the snow covered branches on the right as well as the reflection in the moon. Hard to tell whether the blues are the same or not. If it were, I would consider using as the border frames. I see you are from Ontario. I got mine at Len's. However it was a name brand, so you could probably get it elsewhere.

I would probably just use the centre of the panel and cut the borders off ... and save them for another project. Perhaps a runner to go with your quilt? or mug rugs? placemats? etc.

I'm thinking lap quilt, somewhere around the 60 inch size.

Well I have this panel too and want to make a queen size quilt, thinking of bordering it with black and then using a pattern called Broken Bricks around the panel and I have 4 smaller deer pieces to use in the 4 corners. Sure would like some of the creative ladies on this board to offer more ideas.

I saw a panel similar at the last retreat I attended. The gal cut the panel in equal size blocks then added sashings to make it look like you were viewing it through a window that had the 12 panes. It was stunning. She then added strip borders to make it the size she wanted.

I just saw this.It is the same principal as I was telling about cutting the panel then adding the window sashing.

Beautiful panel. What company made this. I would be very interested in purchasing one.

That is one gorgeous panel. A lot of good suggestions made already and anything you do will just increase its beauty. Please share when finished.

The Panel i'm doing now has almost the same colors. I am putting a 10 inch ice blue border and quilting the ice blue in a light blue thread in designs that look like snowflakes. I keyed in snowflakes under clip art and found lots of them, Now I have to digitize one or two of them tomorrow. Mine is a going to be a 50-52 inch lap quilt for a little 10 year old boy. Good luck,

There was a line of fabrics called Fairy Frost(FF) a few years ago- a silvery pearly frost over soft blues. I think it was by Michael Miller. I've seen a woodland Christmas panel done with with pinwheel and 9 patch FF blocks extending it. The panel was quilted with a bit of a silver glimmer including snowflakes.
