Is it time for Christmas already???? I'm late as usual :)

GD, her friend & I did a tie quilt in about a hr yesterday...quick gift, if I had more on my gift list I would be making more of these. All I did was sewing two pieces of flannel together, leaving a 2 1/2 border for the fringe tieing-what was neat about making this blanket was giving the girls alittle history on how this is what women used to do at quilting bees. Yes alittle bonding time.
Then I made a new set of curtains for my youngest DD for her bedrm and some new pillow cases.
I vowed I wasn't going to make gifts for those who didn't show any sort of appreciate and I have to tell ya its great not stressing out and trying to meet a dead line , not to mention my wallet.

LOL, yes, I do. I did have a hard time finding the jute. My Mother asked for plant hangers for Christmas, so that's what she's getting. I love macrame'. I've always found it fun and relaxing.

Well, I have made about 18 Click it bags and am working on baby quilts for the young gals at work. Going to Ohio next week and hope to visit some of the potteries in the Zanesville Area and perhaps go to Amish country and get some material. Haven't been home in several years so this should be fun.

Table Runners, and a wall hanging. Wall hanging just needs binding and it's done. Will be sewing the runner tops today 7 of them. They are all cut - thanks to the ALTO Quilt Cut 2!
When I get that done, I want to see about getting an Eleanor Burns Lovers Knot in Christmas Fabrics for a table runner for my kitchen table.
If needed the Lovers Knot can wait to be done over this Winter.

I am making a cushion cover with pink hearts and flowers, also a quilted bag for my sister and myself and my niece too. (Different types) finish the baby boy quilt if I got the time. The GK are getting vouchers to spend it on whatever they want. The grownups---we all put in money for one big gift each.

Table Runners, Place Mats, and Pillow Cases

OMG, Moonrise! you are going to be one busy quilter! Last year I did 4 lap quilts and decided this year that the grown-up will mostly get table toppers or placemats, maybe a could of bowl cozies. My Sis and Bro (and spouses) will get large lap quilts this year--those are pieced. For the 3 g-boys, I'm going to make those bed organizers--the kind with pockets for book, etc that hang off the side between mattress and box springs. 2 of the 3 use bunkbeds so once they get into bed it's a chore to be up/down for stuff!

I have made 12 pot holders for the Boutique for our Guild Quilt Show. Hope to make some dish cloth dolls also.
Don't know what the kids will get that is quilting--probably a pot holder or 2!

My friend and I do a gift exchange each yr and this yr it's going to be a small "something" to be put in a frame.
She has found her frame and said it's perfect for what she plans on doing for me. I'm hoping to scan the Thrift Shops and Antique Shops and hope a frame jumps out and helps me come up w/a theme...
