I purged my books of patterns before Christmas, so consider that done. I cleared my sewing table last week because I had a guest that would be in my sewing room, another done. So, to do list and goals:
  • One new quilt a month for the year (from stash hopefully)
  • One UFO finished per month this year
  • Keep up with guild exchanges
  • Keep up with guild mystery quilt
  • Make Christmas gift bags for next December using my Christmas fabrics. (Stash buster for me)
That is enough for one year! Tee-Hee-Hee.

I agree that "goals" sounds much more positive (and doable) than resolutions.

For me, lots of UFO's to quilt but I need to:
1. Improve my quilting skills this year. I have 2 good machines but never seem to devote the time to practice.
2. Make even more things for my granddaughter. She's all I think about these days!
3. Purge some of my sewing machines. It's gotten ridiculous.
4. Think of Christmas gifts before Dec. 24 lol

Ufo’s

I have several ufo’s to quilt. I also want to purge all the fabric I bought before I had a project in mind.

20 in 20 - I'm in a group for this goal. We are going to post a photo each finish.

Since my Word for 2020 is my goals for this year include balancing my time, using what I have, finishing one ufo before starting a new project and not creating more UFOs.
Continuing my fabric moratorium and donating more I will never get around to using. I’ve been working on minimizing the clutter through out the house, the only place I’ve not been successful is the sewing room- so that room is my focus this year. Organization fits in with my Balance focus.

1. sort my tons of scraps
2. make quilts with scraps.
3. make more quilts with scraps.
4. learn to use my new Qunique15R mid arm.
5. finish many quilts waiting to be quilted.
6. make more scrap quilts.

Ube, you make me giggle! Thanks for an end of the chuckle!

I've been thinking about this since this thread was started. So here goes.
My quilting goals this year....
1. Continue and finish with the BOM that I started in September (Edyta Sitar's Sew In Love)
2. Make only the quilts that I already have fabric and patterns for - I have at least 6.... maybe more....
3. Clean my sewing/craft room
4. Re-organize my space to make it more efficient
I'm sure I'll think of more as the year progresses but this is a good start!

The quilt for our local Humane Society is done, I've cleaned/reorganized my pre-cut drawer, panels are all organized, reorganized my fabric drawers, did a major purge of fabrics and donated to the Human Society thrift store, have 6 tops together with batting and backings, have another 7 to get ready for sandwiching, made 30 blocks yesterday for another quilt, when I should have been sandwiching and basting a quilt, but will do that today. The books still to go, but there's still a lot to do.
