Warm wishes, my favorite right now!

Probably lone star, mariners compass, or double wedding ring, if you're limiting this to traditional blocks.
I've seen some great quilt patterns in magazines. |
no picture from you?

OOOO that's a tough one and I'd have to think about it......

The one which I am working on. I love them all - they are my favorite - at least while I am working on them.
Favorite pattern: log cabin (and variations). Anita |

I think my favorite is the one I gave to my sister. Its called hot flashes. It was the largest I had made at the time and my 4th quilt. I really love strip patterns and I have made several D9P for several baby quilts now.

It's the one in my Avatar. I just finished that one for my niece and I fell in love with it.

My red quilt. IT was the first large quilt and was all hand quilted. I love the colors and it is in its home on the back of the couch where I get to admire it everyday.

My favorite quilt is this 3-generations quilt. I made it for my mother using up some of her mother's linen. I had a piece of the blue floral fabric that was used up ENTIRELY except for a tiny scrap. It looks much better in person.
My favorite pattern - that's a tough one...I guess Jacob's Ladder ranks quite high. |

the first quilt I made was a 16" block sampler, I learned as I went! But, my favorite block is the card trick , I don;t know why that block is so appealing to me but with the right fabrics I think it is a stunning block.

My favorite quilt is any quilt with stars in it!!
|
Almost every quilt I have made is one of my favorites at the time I have made it.
But if I have to pick my "favorite" it has to be the one I made from my deceased husband's clothes for my youngest son. We also incorporated photos into the quilt. A labor of love, and a wonderful memory quilt for my son. I still have to make one for my oldest son, and one for myself. |
I have lots of quilts given and not finished, that I really love that I have made. But I especially loved making this runner because of the fabrics. I designed it from a charm pack I had bought on line. (Charish nature by moda) I donated it to an auction, but to this day, I wish I had kept it. I loved everything about it.
http://www.quiltingboard.com/picture...er-t44430.html My consolation is the lady that bought it loves it too. She is a wonderful person who donates lots of time to diabetic kids and animal shelter rescue dogs. |
DP9 and Pinwheels are my 2 favorites. Both are easy and can be so different depending on the colors you chose.
|
Love your quilts. Could you give us the pattern names of them?
|
Hi, what is the name of the 3rd quilt? it looks very interesting & my colors are blue/
|
I have to say every quilt I have made and given to someone to love. But I also can say Hunter's Star. Expecially with the Hunter's Star ruler, not with all the little pieces.

These are my current favorites. My next project will hopefully be one of Judy Neimeyers quilts. Either her Bali Wedding star or Mariners Compass. Not sure which one will be first. I have a couple of projects I have to finish first.

The first one is Carol Doaks 50 fabulous paper pieced stars that I did as a block of the week with a group on her. The second one is Hoopsisters Goosetracks. It still needs binding. The third one is a shop hop quilt. There are chrysanthemums embroidered on it. The third is an Erin Underwood optical illusion quilt. It is still a work in progress.

Big Red
I gave it to my oldest and dearest girlfriend. It was one of my first so not the best job. I plan to make another one some day, now that I am more experienced. |

This is a fun post with so many beautiful quilts to drool over! ;) I love simple quilts the best, the kind that can be used and enjoyed daily without worry. One of my most favorite quilts is nothing fancy just comforting and cozy. It's the most recent Ohio Star quilt I've pieced and hand quilted and drapes the back of our couch. I guess I would say whatever one I am working on at the time is my favorite. I do like the one I have on my bed though. After working on it for a year and having it on my bed in 2 different houses now I am still not bored with it so I guess its a good one. :)

My favorite quilt pattern is "Something different". When I see something striking, I just have to make one like that...someday! I like geometrics that play tricks with your eyes especially.

My Avatar. Sorry can't figure out how to show photos.

JenniePennie what pretty quilts!
Here's my favorite! This one is mine. |
My favorite quilt is one with farm scenes made for my (late) father-in-law. He got to enjoy it for a few years before he passed. When I gave it to him, he was so appreciative, and shared with me that his youngest sister had been very gifted in the sewing arts and had done quilts. When she passed, he would have liked to have had one of her quilts, but their mother gave everything away. Dad thought my small gift was beautiful...his words are still in my heart today. (I'll post a pic when I figure out how to do so. Thanks for your patience.)

I have two, one was a commission quilt for my girl friend when she built a log cabin home in TN. I'd seen a log cabin quilt on the cover of Traditional Quiltworks, and in the center was a large block with a log cabin with mountains behind, with a half border of flying geese. I did change the center block some, adding bushes, chimney with stone fabric and a stone walkway. It has a place of honor in her home hanging next to her 2 story stone fireplace. The second favorite is a blue/white Dresden plate I made for a family reunion quilt. With family members sending blue fabric, imagine my surprise when every piece of fabric I received was a bright blue, no large prints. I used the pattern from a book by Eleanor Burns, and I sure wish I had won that raffle, however, my brother that won the quilt told me that I would have to go some to top that quilt.
