So what do you guys use parchment and freezer paper for? Is it an alternative to the quilting tissue you trace a design on? I haven't tried quilting tissue/paper yet... just getting ready to do my first practice FMQ.

My thread snips used to be my favorite tool, but I have a new favorite tool, the Martelli 45 mm rotary cutter I bought last month. I love, love, love that rotary cutter. The blade is super sharp and it's fun to use. Makes me want to cut all my stash up. hehehehe
If you really, really need to cut up fabric, then I'll send you my projects, to cut, to keep you busy! :0) |
I also was wondering what $99 thimble was.

Martelli Rotary Cutter (Ergonomic Design), Karen Kay Buckley Scissors, Creative Grids (Non-slip Rulers), Thread Snips, Sharp/fine pins

I would be lost without my rotary cutter, a large and a small cutting mat and my seam ripper.

Oh my, it's like deciding between my children, can't do it. I have to mention my stash, it's a wonderful thing. My Babylock Ellisimo has been such a joy. I love my Accuquilt Go, makes life easier. But so does all the rulers and gadgets that I have. They all make this quilting hobby so much fun. I can't imagine how all this would have been in the long ago. I feel wonderfully blessed to have my stuff around me. Joy and fullfillment abound.

My absolute favorite tools are my Dritz Ultra-Fine Glass Head pins. I know they are kind of bendy. But, I love that they don't leave marks in my fabric. I'm willing to deal with that little point. And, my 8" Bias Square by That Patchwork Place. I know that you shouldn't have to square up your blocks. But, I always have to. This baby keeps my half square triangles spot on! And the last thing is my Quick & Easy Block Tool by C T Publishing. (It's 102 Rotary-Cut Quilt Blocks in 5 Sizes.) I wish I had found this a long time ago. It is Awesome!
I look forward to seeing what other people love. Thanks for starting this Thread. :) |
