My oldest is my first one... started piecing in late 1996, I think. I am hand quilting it and it is king sized ... 361 blocks. I'm probably 2/3 finished now. Between other projects, I work on its long grid lines and in the cold months, it keeps me warm while I work on its small squares & triangles.

Mine is a quilt that I started when I was haveing my baby. It is blue, pink and ivory. It just kept getting bigger and bigger. My son is 26 y/o now. Hows that for old?

What a great story! Get busy and finish it must be worth it. For laughs and a family story!! Both.

When does a Work In Progress WIP become a UFO?

Is it after 5 years? When does long enough = seasoned?
Finished ufo this year, yeah, yeah & it was the oldest one [hanging around] approx. 35 years. best thing about it = finally finished. now getting to the others only dating back to ten years ago. ;-)

I have one that my mother got finished. She passed in 1994 and I promised to finish it for her. Then we start on mine - I think it is a double wedding ring from about 12 years agos that I was making my daughter for her 10th wedding anniversay. I didn't like the borders, so never finished it. Maybe for her 25th which isn't all that far away.

Early 80's; my first eight blocks (some hand-pieced and some by machine) are 4 12" and 4 6". Same fabrics....just different sizes. I never figured out how to put them together in an interesting way AND my taste in colors changes away from red-yellow-green more each year.....

Started a wallhanging of applique and machine embroidery in early 1990s. Stopped for some reason or another and it is still waiting. Have no idea whether it will ever get finished. Think it would be quite nice if it was ever finished. We'll see.

Mine is a stack n wack that is at least twelve years old. When I took the class I had no idea what it was suppose to look like so I purchased some frabric with very bright parrots in it and even though it is very pretty it is not me. I have everything that is needed all together just waiting for someone to say they want to try it.

24 years. I've got a quilt top I put together in 1987 and haven't sandwiched or quilted. (I do have the back for it and a LARGE collection of embellishments for it)
