My real name is Marietta but I use Sledhead because when I married SH, he is a snowmobiling addict. Now I'm hooked too. I'd like to learn how to do the art quilts so that I could share some of the beauty that we see when we are riding. Guess I'll see what I can do for a block. Is there a time line?

#1piecemaker 11-22-2011 05:01 PM

Lovely story. When some other ladies and I formed a quilting club, we decided to call ourselve the piecemakers. Somehow, whenever anyone had a question or needed advise or help, they always hollered for me. So they started calling me the #1 piecemaker.

A sweet former co-worker dubbed me Fayzer and I've been Fayzer ever since. Loved your story Krystyna. What a hoot you are. Sweet memories there.

LOL I love that show!!!

My name says a little about my nuttiness... most of my family doesn't understand it, but my husband does (and encourages it!). I LOVE to just sit down, look at my stash and start putting things together. And I love designing my own quilts, or my fabric pottery, or whatever, and start in the middle... then reassess the situation... and the project really does tell me what it wants next! Fun way to quilt and create, and makes for very unique gifts like my niece's wedding quilt this past June. So I'm nuts, I "listen" to my fabrics/colors/textures and the creation just happens...
