I made my son (then three years old) a halloween costume that was "paper tape candy." You know the little dot candy on white strips of paper? I bought a piece of white felt, cut out a hole for his head and glued "dots" of different colored felt in rows on the white. I made a giant green dot for the top of his head. Everyone knew exactly what his costume was and he looked adorable!

I make my Christmas cards from fabric each year! Actually 70 of them. I start the 1st of November and mail on December 1. Lots of work and very expensive to make. They always cost extra postage too! All the family and friends can hardly wait to see what it looks like each year. A few have saved them all and put up as a collection every Christmas.

For a small dog, I made a 'cover-up' ....a fleece-padded bed followed by several quilted squares and rectangles that folded over from all sides, made out of flannel, cotton, and/or more fleece. After watching a few small dogs burrow into blankets, this was made so a dog could 'dig' a way under the quilted pieces till reaching the fleece bed and then proceed to cover up by pulling over all the quilted pieces till 'happy and warm'. Biggest problem was how much fabric it took to make, plus the thickness of the bed to successfully connect with quilted sides. (someone with a serger or commercial machine would probably be more successful)!

My son is a surgical tech and I made him scrub hats also. Holiday themes and his favorite hobbies like football, fishing, and tools.

O made a horse coat for a baby filly as she was born in March and it was cold. I made it from an old heavy flanal "farm" coat of mine. I fashioned it after a dogs coat and it kept her warm for about a month until she outgrew it. I miss the coat LOL, did not realize how much I liked it until I did nto have it, but her health was more important at the time. Mom had no milk so had to bottle feed Morning Glory, the filly. Take care.

Many Halloween costumes. One year 2 of my kids were ostrich jockeys. Their legs were the ostrich legs and the jockey legs were small stuffed sweatpants so it looked like they were riding the ostrich. The ostrich was a box covers with long fake fur and feathers, the neck was a mailing tube, the head ws a styrofoam ball with big googly eyes and a fabric beak.

A saddle blanket for a "riderless horse" (example pic below). This pic is the only thing I had to go by. It took several hours and was the most difficult object I have ever made given all the angles and getting it to fit the horse....but it worked! I was soooo relieved when it was done.

I don't know what they are called or if they are a real thing. Something I have seen only in war movies. A Panel with a star in the center to indicate the household has a soldier in war zone. Of course with no pattern to guide me, it was all guess work, I made the star too big. But the star sits on a blue panel measureing 10 x 10. Then it has red and white strips cut to a "V" and its all bound in red. I call it Patriot Star.
