I fell in love with a quilt at a show recently so I went on line to buy the pattern. "Stars of Grace". Found it on ebay, my son did so I told him to order it for me. Well it came today. 3 pages torn out of a McCalls quilting magazine and he paid $8.25 including shipping. That is so sad. If I had known it was a McCalls pattern I could have ordered the magazine for less than $8.25. Sorry, but things like this do not sit well with me. Grrrrrr!

I hope you sent it back and raise a big fuss. Send a conplaint to Ebay on the seller

It doesn't sit well with me either, but it is legal. I think ebay should require that they state it is from a mag.

I can see why you're disgruntled! And the postage on three pages would definitely not be $8.25!

Sorry to hear you had a bad ebay experience. I have to wonder how McCall's quilting magazine feels about this. It doesn't seem right that someone should make money by selling individual pages of the magazine.

That's horrible. Complain to ebay!

we have already covered this topic thoroughly.

it's legal.

buyers need to read all the way through the description.

if they didn't state it was pages from a magazine, you can leave "not as advertised/described" in the feedback.

I just don't know how this could be legal.

FYI: You can request cheaper shipping if you think it is too high. I ask before I bid.

I did buy one of these "patterns" but my seller stated up front that was what it was. I didn't have the magazine and wanted the pattern so I went ahead and bought. Not my favorite thing to do.

Did the seller identify the source of the pattern in his posting? If he did not, I would ask for money to be refunded due to "not as described" complaint.
