When I get a 50% off coupon from JoAnns, I buy 10 yards of the Kona cotton in white. Love it! Yes, JoAnns does carry a few of the Kona solids!

I bought some white charm squares from Keepsake Quilting and was very pleased with them. You can view and order online. They even include patterns with some of the orders. I do know they sell 10 inch pieces in a group called Ice and Ivory that is very nice. I do not know about yardage. I love Hobby Lobby whites myself.

For a plain white I like Moda Bella solid. It's great and you should be able to get it online any where. Check out fabric.com, over the rainbow, somewhere sewing, etc.

For me, Kona Snow is the VERY BEST white on the market.
I get it from fabric.com, usually purchased thru Amazon. That way I get free shipping from fabric.com + purchase points from Amazon.

I often purchase from Yoder - excellent service and really good prices.

My white fabric is purchased by the bolt from Yoder's store in Shipshewana, Indiana, I order by phone, last time I told the sales person to send the kind their local quilters preferred, it is very nice. They will send samples, for the black, I do ask for samples. The prices are reasonable, and service is prompt. If, and that's a big if, we get to Kalona, Iowa, I purchase it at my favorite store, am not sure if they do mail orders or not. piecefully, the old one

I have a preference for Moda White as well. It has a wonderful hand and is not see thorough. That said I must say I just watched a PBS show of Fons & Fons last night and they made the cathedral window, MaryAnn Fons said that the pattern is historicaly made with unbleached muslin because it ironed best however they chose to use colored background fabric. It was an interesting show, went upstairs and made two squares just before bed to give it a try.

I bought a really nice solid white from Missouri Star Quilt Co....nice weight, not paper thin like some. It was one of their Daily Deals, but I suspect they carry it all the time. Hope that helps?

PS: I just checked their website and it's Bella Solids by Moda.....$5.95/yd.

I have gotten some nice "white on white" at Joann's and at Hobby Lobby lately..great weight and washes well...100% cotton.

You can buy from Joann's on line. Same great fabric. Also some WalMart stores. Also try Hobby Lobby on-line.

I just purchased white from Connecting Threads for under $5/YD. It is part of the Quilter's Candy line. I am pleased with the look and weight of it - working on a pin wheel baby quilt with it. It does tend to ravel a bit, but looks great, irons great, easy to work with. I am thinking about adding several of their solids to my stash.
