They are all in your head!

My husband, who knows everything(!) says since I send my pieced tops, batting and backing out to be sewn together by machine I have therefore not quilted it. So I therefore am not a quilter. You may remember his interesting definition of creative. If I hand sew it together he considerd me to therefore be a quilter. So........I said since he plows, cultivates and harvests using machines he must therefore not be a farmer! If he did the work by hand, he would be. His reply......."Well, thats different." Gotta love 'em :x

I run from the quilt police!! I hope they never catch me, so in the meantime I make my quilts the way I see fit!!

I consider them to be people with their noses up in the air who are very insecure to begin with. I don't worry about anyone criticizing my quilts. My friends care about the beauty of the quilt in my eyes, not in the flaws they see. Anyone who can't do that, I don't need in my life. If I want your opinion, believe me, I WILL ask. Just enjoy what you do and know that no quilt is perfect. The Amish even put a "mistake" in every quilt on purpose. And I don't know any better quilter than them.

You hit the Nail on the head, Quilter "Want-a-bees".

I've generally found that 'quilt police' are the people who are jealous of anyone else who shows a smidgin of talent or original thought!

I know one that works at my local Hancock's Fabric Store. She about turned me against quilting before I ever got started.

Self righteous, know it all morons who think they know it all and don't know how to keep their opinions to themselves. They see themselves as ( top, better, best, expert, etc. ) quilters.
Oh and by the way, they are self appointed. |
They are the people who know more and more about less and less until they know everything about nothing! If they come to your house, don't let 'em in!
