I love it, but only with Freezer paper! Only need a couple of templates and never have to rip and pick paper off!

Just doing the last block for this hanging. Even the thinnest seams come out beautifully!

Wow Kitsie, those blocks look really great!

I also love paper piecing. I just finished making 12mariner compass stars in Carol Doaks book. Her patterns are very nice to work with.

I like paper piecing and some time ago there were some swaps on this board I participated in. I feel I have a lot to learn. sofar I use light weight printer paper but I might want to try some different methods or paper.

But seeing this on here makes me jazzed to get it out and get going on it again!
Thanks so much!

Some of the paper piece swaps that were on the board previously.

I can relate. Tried my hand at paper piecing with Jinny Beyer's Crystal Star and fell in love with the technique. I have yet to quilt it but its done. I'm also on her newsletter so keep abreast of updates, BOM's and sales on her beautiful fabrics. She also has lots of freebies on her website. Another site I keep uptodate is Carol Doak's digest on Yahoo. Think I have both of her Craftsy classes too as well as a couple of her books.

yes you leave the paper on until you are going to join them in a quilt

I have bought two books, and have several quilt patterns that require paper piecing, but have not been able to get my mind wrapped around the process. I love the sharp points, especially in some of the mariner's compass and some of the stars. one of these days, the light bulb will go off.

I too have tried paper piecing a couple of times. I can not get it figured out right. I end up backwards.
