me tooo..quilting is our saviour...it calms us..makes the time go by..and in the end is very rewarding..this should also apply to sewers,crafters,knitters..and so on..it is the best therapy...so keep on quilting and take each day at a time...

I had a very messed up life, starting in childhood and all the way up. Have lived constantly with depression and panic attacks. I don't know howI started doing needlework because no one in my family ever did. It and prayer has been my salvation. I can focus my mind on it and all problems disappear for awhile. Thank God and meds and needlework.

Amen! Karendenice, you and I have lived parallel lives. Quilting has pulled me up from many a dark hole!

I know that quilting and yoga are therapy; they have allowed me to reduce the meds. Yoga is great and it helps me stretch out the kinks that I sometimes get when I sit too long and quilt or piece.
